Who did Jo-Anne Knowles play in Hollyoaks?
I've only just found out that Jo-Anne Knowles, who plays Janis in Mile High (re-run every Sunday night on Sky Three), used to be in Hollyoaks amongst other programmes.
Can anyone remember much about the character she played (Lorraine), I can kind of remember the name but nothing else, |

No idea who she played - before my time on HO, but I do like the actress. She was great on Mile High and can't quite believe she is the same person who plays Mia in The Bill!

Wasn't she the woman who Lewis was seeing back in 2000, behind Ruth Osbourne's back?
Lorraine had a kid by a dangerous guy and I think Lewis was trying to get her son and her away from the guy while in Spain, was it? And it was around the time Finn, Luke, Ben, Tony, OB, Max, Sol all went on the stag holiday in Spain, as Finn was to marry Tony's mum. ![]() Blimey I recall watching the late night show in my new flat. ![]() Dazza xx

Her name was Lorraine Wilson and yeah she was the one who had an affair with Lewis and got him into gambling and debt.

Of course! It's all coming back to me now!
The good old days, i think Hollyoaks should be started from the beginning on E4. I've seen Friends more times then I care to admit. Two episodes a day is enough, let alone repeating them 3 hours later! |

I think Hollyoaks should definately be repeated - maybe we could start a petition? I think it used to be?.... I started watching HO in 2001 so I only saw the few months leading up to Gary Lucy leaving - I would love to see all the eps before that

I agree, I think I started watching it about 97 / 98? The storylines at that time were so good, not enjoying it right now, but it they were to show it all over again I'm sure I'd love it even more ....

Hollyoaks was just brilliant when it first started! I loved the Bensons, the Cunninghams, Maddie, Jambo, Finn and Carol. Back then it wasn't the show it is now - it was more concerned with storylines rather than sexy blondes and shirtless hunks.
It would be great to see the early years of hollyoaks again. I remember Trouble used to show the early years of Hollyoaks in the late nineties, but they stopped and starting showing rubbish American sitcoms. It'd be great if either Trouble or e4 started showing them again. Last edited by Viper238 : 25-04-2007 at 16:59. |

I've watched it from the start well I actually started watching about 6 months in but watched the repeats when they were on trouble years ago.
I'm not really bothered about it just now too much Justin and I don't really like the McQueen thing thats going on. |

Jo-Anne used to appear in the Nottingham Playhoused pantomimes[which are very traditional, non of this I'm a celebrity & I get paid more than you rubbish] well before she started to be on television. She always played the Principal Boy. She is such an accomplished actress and I think she is very underused.
A very fine actress indeed and her singing voice is fabulous. |

Hollyoaks was just fab back then. It has changed so much over the years but is still great. |

I think it has it's good months and then it's bad months. It all depends of the storyline and how on going it is.
