So Tre has a moral objection to a human nipple but not to having a mouth like a sewer.

Ridiculous.

1) I don't think his 'facial' comment was meant like that. I actually think his moral/religious stance also covers rude comments and jokes such as that.

2) SAS is known for saying "I don't like bullsh*tters," so he better get rid of this one before the final round!

SAS has only said that word a couple of times that I've heard and I've never heard him use the F word.

I find him hilarious!

He is so arrogant and needs to come down a peg or two, but I actually admired his principles last week and it is the first time I have admired him!

I am always pleased when Tre is saved, he makes great TV. His comments on the photos were really making me laugh last night - and the look on his face when he first saw them was a classic!

Absolutely - the misogynistic git. Please feel free to come and say what you think about Tre in the 'Slay Tre!' thread ( http://www.digitalspy.co.uk/forums/s...d.php?t=560223 ), lol!!

I like Trey, the majority of what he says is true although i do think that he needs to brush up on the way he says it. Tre did not understand the paintings, but that is true of alot of people, i didnt understand any of the paintings. he made the best he could out of the situation and i think he deserves credit for that, he also managed to sell many paintings. Katie appreciated and understood the art so she should have sold more but she didn't, she looked as though she was just enjoying a laugh as tho she was at a party.

I took that to mean that as a bloke he didn't really see it as much of a reward. ......I thought it was quite funny.

I thought he was really funny on Wednesday and up till now I've disliked him. He made me laugh out loud on more than one occasion. Unfortunately not all of it intentionally. I did agree with him about the road-kill "artist". Who makes their mother lie in the middle of the road dressed as a rat! His make-it-up-as-you-go-along photo descriptions were pure TV gold! However, no matter how he gets on in this series, I think there are enough one lines and general attitude there for him to have some sort of TV career. There were flashes of Ali G in some of his antics.

To be fair to Tre I don't think he's mysoginistic. I think he's right there is no need for paintings of breasts to be hung around. They degrade women - showing women as just parts and pieces. You wouldn't hang a picture of a d1ck in your house would you?

Oh please - you sound like Clare Short! This is such an old-fashioned attitude - do you think the models were forced to pose for those shots? Of course not, they were paid like any other model and I'm pretty sure they don't feel 'degraded' either. If you can't cope with those pictures, that's YOUR problem, not other womens'.

I would actually, and I can't think of any reason for not doing so - unless you have kids I guess. (Go and have a look at the photography of Robert Mapplethorpe, which is worth a small fortune these days. Dicks - and plenty more - galore!! And the most wonderful photography.) I have nude photographs in my house of both sexes, because I find the human body a beautiful thing. Don't you?

What a dinosaur - I can hardly believe it!! Do grow up and become enlightened, please!!

I must be a dinosaur then, because I agree with you. certainly wouldn't hang a picture of a dick in my house. That isn't art at all. That's just sensationalism. There's a difference between that and say The David or the Venus de Milo.

I don't think he's a mysoginist at all either.

He appeared to have respect for Katie and gave her a good role when he was project manager, and he worked perfectly well when Ghazal was his project manager and got on well with her. And he got on well with Christina in the same task.

Apart from getting wound up by Jadine in the first episode or two, I think it's some of the males he has more of a problem with.

without him this series would be dead, hes great entertainment, he sells well, top contestant

as waterloosunset says, lets see how many people are ok with erect dicks hung on walls, its disgusting, more power to him for making a moral stance

If anything in the last series I saw him let Ghazal get in the car before and he held the door open for her. There was another bloke in the group can't remember who it was but he got in before Ghazal. He's just a barrel of laughs IMO.

Explain - I don't get it. How can a picture of a dick be automatically 'sensational' and 'not art'? (Unless it's about a foot long I suppose, but that's not what we're discussing.) David has a dick, so what IS the difference? You will only see 'sensationalism' if that's what you're looking for. (Photos by Robert Mapplethorpe can be found here - http://www.mapplethorpe.org/ - if anyone's interested. He's my favourite photographer of all time, and I would consider it an honour to hang any of his works on my wall.) Is this what they mean by 'Victorian values'?!

He may be right about that but that's not the reason that he is misogynistic. He has no hesitation in using gutter language and he doesn't mind using coarse, crude language to refer to the women's body parts that he doesn't want people to look at - as if he owned them! It is the way he refers to women in dismissive and disparaging terms on the programme that shows total lack of respect. This is at odds with his stance re photographs of women's bodies. That stance is not based on respect for women.

There is no reason to be so rude and attack the poster personally. She is entitled to her view whether you wish to regard it as old fashioned or not, and your reaction seems disproportionate. I have no interest in looking at photographs by someone you happen to like. So what? It's no big deal.

Because it's not used for art, it's just used to cause a reaction that in turn (in my view anyway) degrades the subject matter be that male or female. Not necessarily the person in the picture who as others have said posed willingly, but it perpetrates and attitude of body parts as a commodity and not as a beautiful whole person as is the case in the David or the Venus. To have a picture of a dick means it's just a dick and not a person.

OK, peoples, I can see I'm on a hiding to nothing here! Before this goes veering away on too much of a tangent, let's drop it and get back to Tre! (I apologise for being a photography evangelist, it's always been a bad trait of mine - if people don't get stuff, then they don't get it - I'll just have to live with that! I don't get Tracey Emin, so there we are.)

I think there's no doubt that Tre is a misogynist. He's made SO many under-hand comments about the women. I won't speculate about whether he has any cultural or religious background to explain this, but I guess he may well do.

As for the editing - you can only edit in what has been shot. You can only shoot what has been said. I'd be surprised if the production company hadn't toned down some of Tre's comments to avoid complaints.

Yes, I remember him describing Katie during one of the tasks as 'a ******* idiot.' And Sugar has said that he has had to speak to him twice about his foul language.
(Not that Sugar is a great deal better, what with his own crude, gutter language)

I think Tre is as rude to the men as he is to the women. Therefore I don't think it stems from misogyny. I think it just stems from well, being rude! Katie said she wanted a male contestant to be hit by a car. I don't think this was due to a deep hatred of men (should we call this misohomony?) any more than Tre's comments stem from a hatred of women. I just think both are just rude and not very nice people. At least give him his due, Tre can have moments of entertainment value and comedy.

perhaps he's just so convinced of his own self importance and that everyone is beneath him, that he just is rude to everyone because they are all beneath him.
