one key reason as to why EE has been hit-and-miss since 2004...
...is the inclusion of Keith Miller - whoever thought HE was an ideal character was gone in the head!

all of that family should have left when the mother and daughter left. Just think we wouldn't have had to suffer the Rob and Dawn storyline!

Rosie and Demi had run their course, at least Dawn (as we are seeing) and Keith (yet to see) have potential. EE couldn't have got rid of the whole family because they wanted to keep Darren. Mickey is an excellent character who didn't really need his family introduced in the first place, but there you go.

What? The Dawn-Rob-May saga has already gone on for too long(although not as long as the Max-Stacey-Tanya love triangle) and Keith is lazy, ugly, and probably stinks - he needs more than a haircut! |

After all, he's hardly been sighted in the last year - and 2006 is regarded by many (including myself) as one of the poorest in EE history. |

I do like Keith - i felt really sorry for him when Rosie left. I like the dysfunctionish of their family - there's something quite realistic about it

He needs something to do and then perhaps he can prove his worth. At the moment he's rarely seen, and when he is it's hardly a great event.

What happened to the whole "can't read" storyline..that was promising...but typical EE - anything with some promise we never see or hear of again and they troll out complete rot like the Daren website thing...or the rob/ dawn thing...or again as typical they just drag things out wayyyyyy too long...

I agree. The illiteracy story had great potential to be interesting and educational - but they missed it. Darren is my least favourite Miller family member, closely followed by Dawn. |

![]() I don't blame any of the cast. I blame the producers, the scriptwriters and the people who chose some of the dismal talent now in the programme. Last edited by SULLA : 26-04-2007 at 13:31. |

Not only did he never learn to read and write but he is still saying that he has a bad back when the Social caught him playing football and they had to pay back the benefit that he had received.

I quite liked Mickey until the rest of his family arrived. He may not be the world's best actor, but he was a quirky, funny sort of character, always doing daft things and looking perplexed about why things didn't work. When his family arrived he turned all serious, taking responsibility for his family etc. I think they should have left him on his own. |

( you can tell I have no work to do.....)
But (and totally my opinion ) i dont think EE can do funny and quirky, for me it always comes across a bit childish and carry-on...(not that i dont like carry ons but time and place etc). I do thinks soaps should have their lighter moments but for me EE has never managed it. |

I still can't fathom why they axed Rosie and not Keith. Rosie had so much more potential whilst Keith has been there ages and does not but evoke disgust.

He's not a bad actor but he was never really given anything much to do, unlike his son and all that internet lark.
Although Demi was kinda cute, she didn't leave an acting mark on me. Rosie was ok but I guess they need to keep some of the family together. Seriously there are worse storylines at the moment *cough stax* but even that's set to get more interesting soon. As for acting, Li is worse than any of them really. EE in general has good actors. |

I think Joe Swash is a very natural actor and very underated because he came from the Berriege Era as well as the Miller's.
The axing of Rosie and Demi was a big mistake and shouldn't have happened. It ruined the brillaint dynamic between the family and they have become extras. David Spinx is a good actor and is very underused. I also don't think it's fair to blame the downfall on one character, that's what happended to the Ferierries and they ended up being axed and the show still hasn't been "great" since then. |

I love Keith. He is such a lazy slob, he really makes me laugh. He needs more storylines!
