VOD and Broadband rights to Neighbours

In all the articles regarding the possible channel change of Neighbours, they mention the VOD and Broadband rights. What exactly do they mean by this? I'm confused. I'm just praying the BBC keeps it as well.

This is to broadcast the programme on line

If you look at the Ch.4/Five website you can download episodes of programmes (come cost) you can then view them on your PC

Cable viewers can also access certain programmes when they wish also

There also might be an option on their websites to watch programmes there and then

I think the BBC do similar but not sure, ITV will be doing it soon

Thats the type of thing they mean by VOD/Broadband, if that makes sense
