They really slagged off that photographer, didn't they?

Elizabeth Hoff (?) SAS pretty much made a joke out of her in the boardroom and they didn't pull their punches on 'You're Fired!' either.

"£9.50 is what they're worth", "shallow" were just a couple of comments that I rememeber.

I mean, she deserved it for being so pretentious and stuck up beyond belief, but it's rare that you see a participant in one of these shows being openly rubbished like that. I wondder how she feels now?

The whole thing made me think perhaps she was a decoy - put in there to test their judgement, lol.

I wondered that as well. Kristina's team had a lucky escape, not getting her. What a stuck up so-and-so.

That does seem feasible...but at the same time I can well imagine an artist being that pretentious about their work. They tend to live in a different world to non-art people.

I am quite up for getting on a gallery guest list though - free wine and nibbles and looking at pictures - can't be bad!

Not bad until they expect you to drop two grand for a polaroid of someone's arse in order to remain on the list!

I thought it was coffee? cheers for clearing that one up.

As for "How do you think she feels", after getting the P took out of her. I would say the same way she tries to make other people feel. What goes around and all that.

I'm sure she's a very good advertising, editorial, magazine photographer...as her stuff was punchy and graphic...but the lipgloss images are really shallow. Overpriced, retro 80s eye candy.

I agree she was up herself, but she did have a few valid points. When you hang an exhibition.... it isn't too much to expect that the walls are clean and decent labels made up - especially if you're trying to sell work and look professional.

( Spend a couple of quid on letrset to number the work on the wall and print out an A4 handout with title/price ....not really rocket science)

That "couple of quid" could make the difference between winning and failing the task. The blu-tac was hardly on display, was it.

She wasn't happy about anything was she really.

the walls, the labels. She didn't give them a list either I thought that was really horrible.

She is extremely happy about the priceless publicity she has received via the BBC and more than happy to boast about it on her website.

Which was probably why she agreed to go on the show in the first place. Although I think she was happy to get the publicity she hardly entered into the "spirit" of The Apprentice when she wouldn't release her contact list to the team. However, in saying that the right team won this week.

I understand your point...and I do think she was a complete moaner and her husband extremely patronising... both could have got into the spirit of things and helped out with the tidy up etc.

But when you're asking someone to make a significant purchase...especially when it's a luxury rather than essential item.... I would argue the level of presentation is v.important. And anyway re doing the labels probably cost them the equivalent amount of time+money.

(The type of folk interested, would clock that lack of detail immediately.)

I think the woman and her husband were pretty typical of the arty types, just arty types and sales don't always go together. They were giving the team advice based on the normal way art is sold, not necessarily advice that'd help them win a one evening task.

I'd be curious to know how much art was sold after the fact, if anyone who'd viewed that night went back the next day or week and then bought some of the photographs.

I wouldn't call them arty - more photograph -y if you see what I mean! Pretentious enough to call photographing things art.

I wouldn't have given her £9.50 for a job lot of them. I wouldn't use any of them as lining paper in the kitchen cupboard if they were free. In fact, out of all the 'art' I saw, I wouldn't give house room to any of it.
