"Hi, RG, I'm sorry to bother you but could I have 49 bananas, some carte d'or ice-cream and a case of stella artois please - it's going to be a long night"

p.s. I thought signs of a breakdown were a prerequisite for eligibility to the forum.

A mere breakdown is sissy, you have to be really loop-the-loop if you want to fit in here.

Btw, make it coconut flavour.. and I'll be your best friend.

Could it have been deliberate? And if so, why?

I referred to half of me, my other half and my competitive half. I chose the words with some care. I didn't ever use third as the name of a half. There is no question of me moving the goalposts.

When challenged, I provided the explanation which was clear in my mind when I made the three halves post.

Any further explanations will have to follow my supermarket trip and the resulting meal.
”

Yes I got it.
Your competitive half was contained within the whole which was divided into two halves which each in turn had two halves
(one of which you named) ie 'competitive half' of either of your halves or a half combination of either, but it should have been clear in your explanation, not only in your mind.
Having said that, I never had a doubt that it was clear in your mind and that you knew exactly what you were saying - so to that, much respect.

Maxiii,

When involved in debate, surely I'm not required to declare my tictacs, am I? e.g I'm saying this, so that if you say that, I can possibly win the debate by saying the other: But, if you don't say that, then I'll have to think of something else to try to win. I don't think so. How many halves was that?

Maxiii apart, no further questions, no responses, no logic (apparently).
That's fine, apart from when it shows no manners either.
Btw, I'm not talking about bananas, goalposts and any other mickey-taking. That's all fair game.

I have just re-read the recent posts, in particular mine.
Although it was not my intention, I submit that it's more logical to interpret my competitive half (mentioned third) as an alternative name for the first mentioned half. Using that logic, I only ever referred to two halves, albeit using two different names for one of them. We all know there are only ever two halves. But what about American Fooyball? Or do they call them periods?

I am now well past my boredom threshold on this topic. Everybody else probably is as well. Can we move on please?

According to the newspapers today, BB4 is being hastily brought forward by a couple of weeks so that Davina can comfortably complete this series.

Interesting, because Alex mentioned ( in his webchat on the Sibley site with his dad) that BB4 was due to start in two weeks time.

Facqueen, I think sites like Big Brother Online and maybe digital spy ? were saying this a week ago weren't they?

Something to do with the fact that Davina gave birth just a month after finishing BB2, so wanted more of a gap this time.
