Recording Freeview & Watching Cable
I have Virgin Media cable TV and now a Toshiba 32C3030D
Regza 37" HD TV which has built in Freeview. I was just wondering if it is possible to record a freeview channel on my DVD recorder while watching a cable channel? |

Depends on the TV but I doubt it. Add a cheap Freeview STB to your set up, or upgrade the DVD recorder to one with its own internal digital (Freeview) tuner (one with a hard-disk would be even better).

The Tosh 32WLT66 will happily output its internal digital Freeview signal on both scart sockets, regardless of what you are watching on the TV at the time (digital, analogue, DVD, VCR, HDMI etc). If your Tosh is similar, then yes, you could have your Tosh outputting its Freeview signal on AV1 to your DVD recorder, while you watch your Virgin Media connection to the TV on AV2.
