The aging of Joseph

I don't know if this has been brought up, but has anyone considered this when thinking about who is the most suitable for the role?

A lot of people say things like Seamus is too old, and Keith is too young, soif you were to consider just those two who is more suited?

I reckon that the timespan of the show is at least 10 years. He gets sold into slavery, pisses off Potipher (we don't know how long between those two events, but long enough for Mrs Potipher to seduce him) and gets put in jail (again we don't know for how long), comes to the attention of Pharaoh, and becomes employed by Pharaoh. Then you have seven years of bumper crops. Then we have seven years of famine. I don't recall it being made clear at what stage in this famine the brothers come to Joseph to ask for food, but it would have to be at least a year or two in for their food to have run out.

So allowing for that, who would be the most convincing? I'd say Seamus. I can see him playing the range of ages. Keith, I can only see him being a young Joseph.

What do others think?

I agree with Seamus being fine age wise. I really don't think he looks any way near 35, even if he did a little bit I don't think it would be a problem... as 35 is not old! But he really does look about 25/26 so I think he's fine.

Lee I think is a good too and Daniel, he can look quite mature when he wants to when acting and this will make a difference on stage.

Others I think would be fine too, apart from Keith, Anthony (I know he's gone now) and Ben. They seem a little too young. Oh and at times, Chris looks quite fresh faced, but not so much as the others.
