Seamus is so arrogant

I think the way he said about a conspiracy theory and then decided to change the words to the song to "I have been promised a show of my own" just goes to prove why he was voted off.

It is not the fact that he does not have talent, because he has got a fantastic voice. The reason he was voted off is because he is the most arrogant and conceited individual and people did not like him.

ALW pointed out earlier in the show that why at the age of 35 had he not actually got anywhere, as there must be a reason for this. I think it is a case of him being an individual and because of his teaching background he thinks he knows better than the people producing and ditrecting the show.

It is a shame as he has so much talent, it is just a pity that his attitude and personality does not match his voice.

I agree totally. His attitude had put me off despite his excellent singing voice. The only conspiracy theory is....why did he forget his words??? A man of his age should know better.

Yep, it is the lack of what Simon Cowell calls 'the vital likability factor', rather than lack of talent, that has led to his early exit.

He has a great voice but nothing he has done has given me goosebumps. Both Daniel and Lee have given me that with one of their performances. And last night in the sing off Ben did it for me. I am not sure Joesph has to give me goosebumps but that is always my criteria in these reality shows

not defending him as i agree with quite abit of what youve all said, perhaps he was just utterly p***ed off at going head to head with someone who couldnt sing aswell as him and was in shock that he was going?? he was miles better than craig and ben (i mean talent not likeability) so i would of been rather upset too. Then again though yes he should of taken on board what ALW and the rest of the panel have been telling him about attitude team playing etc

I don't think he forgot the words ... I think he ended the song with his own version "one day I'll have a show of my own" He was arrogant but he also had guts imo.

I am not sure if you were watching the show, but if you were then you will have seen that he DID forget the words when he was singing in the loincloth in front of his mother with ALW and Denise there.

He completely forgot the words and messed up totally and someone who is that arrogant and thinks he is far better than anyone else should not be doing that. He is meant to be a singing teacher, it does not set a very good example if a singing teacher forgets the words to a song that he should know by now if he had any aspirations of appearing on the West End.

I did watch the show!
and I wasn't talking about the song in the loincloth. I meant when he was singing his last song "Close Every Door"he changed the last line from... A land of my own... to...I will get a show of my own. Did you not watch the end ?

As other people have said, I wonder why Seamus has taken so much time to decide he should have a West End career. I think it was arrogant to show his feelings, it would have been more grown up to have accepted gracefully. The public vote is a mystery to most of us, but this isn't the first talent show on TV, he should have known how it works.
