ALW wants to have his cake and eat it!!

He as good as said at the start of tonight's show that the GBP got it wrong last week (which we did but that's not the point).

If he wants the publicity for his show that this programme will inevitably bring then he has to put up with the fact that the public probably won't choose who he would choose given his own way. If he wants to just choose someone then he is at liberty to do that isn't he? He just cannot have a programme such as this as well.

I didn't watch Maria last year but suspect that this one is a whole different ball game and is attracting a different audience demographic.

Maria was on during BB last year, this year it hasn't started yet and I would imagine that Joseph is therefore by default attracting a younger audience. Plus we have lots of guys, and some of the audience will vote on "cuteness" rather than talent - which would probably have not have been such a factor in Maria.

ALW I feel is not going to get the winner he wants this year. And I hope not.

Although to be fair, Maria doesn't have to spend a chunk of the show in a loincloth.

It also clashed with X Factor.

I'd say most of the younger audience are watching Grease though.

In my opinion, the cutest guys in the show (Daniel, Lee, Rob and Seamus) are/were the most talented. Ben's cute too but not in the same league in terms of talent.

I thought that much of ALW's 'upset' at the GBP was scripted rather than real - I dunno whether they're right or not but the producers seem to think that a bit of 'controversy' will increase viewing figures.
