Problem finding tracks on Creative zen vision M

I brought a vision M today and so far I'm in love with it. The only problem is when I first loaded in my songs it split them up into little groups as some were labelled by artist but some weren't. I went into media manager and edited the track properties to list the correct artist but now when I go back to the vision M it lists the artist but has no tracks under that artist.
What have I done wrong?
Thank you.

You should always tag them properly anyway to start with. If you take the tarcks off the ones you have edited will revert to what they were before ahnd, the media source is only a temporary edit. To do it permantly you need to use a proper editing suite like media monkey or tag&rename. This will change the id tags properly.
What has possibly happened is this, becuase they haven't been edited correctly it has dumped the track somewhere else, possibly under either <unknown> which does happen sometimes, or it has put them under another artist. To check where the track is look for it under "all tracks"

If you have any more problems let me know.

Thank you for helping.

They are tagged. For example I have a track that is tagged like this:

Akai Hana - NewS - Pop

It doesn't have an album as it wasn't an album song so I left those parts blank. Shouldn't this then appear under the artist list for NewS?

Depends if that is how the tagging system is setup. Normally on tagging the artist is last, it's normally Track, Album, Artist. So i would say you have mixed your tags around and some that are listed as albums are actually artists and vise versa.

Thanks again for your help. I managed to get it to work now by editing it on the computer files rather than after uploading them.
