Well desearved. I taped Grease and watched it, but after the first couple i forwarded it to the results. It was just cringeworthy watching people trying to act like Danny and Sandy.

Ha ha. Oh dear, looks like Simon Cowell's plan to steal the Beeb's ideas has backfired!

I wonder how this will affect the voting figures for each show. Anyone with half a brain could have foreseen that most people would do would be what I do - tape Grease to fast forward through the adverts and watch Any Dream!

I watch Grease when its repeated on a Monday and I think quite alot of people will do the same. However, Joseph is by far the best of the two.

the one thing that make Any Dream better compared to Grease is the Word, was it didn't follow the same format as Pop Idol/X-Factor where it set out to humiliate most of the prospective contestants in the first few shows.

in Any dream most of the boys where competent, but they didn't get through because they either didn't fit the part, didn't have a good enough vocal range or even the special something that stars have

Both poor ratings in comparison with X Factor

Different time of year. Ratings are generally down during these months.

Can't believe the Grease ratings are so high.

...... and the finalists on GITW were the best they could muster after all those auditions.

The dreaded show is repeated now and unbelievably Sinitta said to one contestant 'it doesn't matter if your singing isn't that good' Excuse me Sinitta but if I paid £60 for a ticket for a West End show, sure as hell I'd want them to be able to sing, and hit every darn note.

Again the ITV show is ALL about the judges. Grease at the Piccadilly Theatre deserves to bomb if this is the way they are conducting the audition process. I'm staggered that Davide Ian has sunk so low.

The provisional television schedule for 12th May is very worrying with the main Joseph show scheduled for the ridiculously early time of 5.45 pm and the Results show at 7.25 pm because of the Eurovision Song Contest. Show could lose a few million viewers because of this and voting could also be affected.

Nothing can upset the Euro Song Contest though.

That will be a long night for me, must make sure I'm not going out that night then. "Sorry I can't make it I watching ADWD and the ESC".

Same here. Voting is cheaper on ADWD, I care more about who gets the role and I can watch GITW without ads, cutting out about 20 mins.

With the increasing popularity of Sky+ and other PVRs more and more people just time shift their viewing (starting an hour long programme 15 mins in usually means that you get to the end at the same time but miss out the ads) or opt to watch a non-ad programme live if there are two on at the same time.

Big problem for ITV is that we know they depend on the revenue from phone voting.

Ratings are always lower in the spring and summer.

I must admit having my V+ set to record GITW and i'm not even sure why i am watching it. It's on if i'm doing the ironing when there's nothing better on.

That said, when Joseph is on, i'm glued to my seat

Watched GITW yesterday and it is so weak! - the panel are weak, it seems a very tired programme.

I will be in France on 12 May so I will record Joseph but not the Song Contest as I think it is a load of tripe!

Shame ALW won't be doing another one next year, but better to go out on a high.
