Zoe Tyler but all of them are pretty good, bar Bill's overpraisng and Denise's drooling.

John for me. Denise annoys me with, as aptly described by Jocko, her drooling. Bill definitely over praises, he can't love everyone every week for goodness' sake. Zoe seems to give balanced opinions.

Andrew seems to look constantly uncomfortable, as if he needs to go to the loo.

i like them all but i wish john barrowman wouldnt shout so much and he can be OTT in his comments. Overall though i think its a very good panel

John, he is very constructive.

Zoe is is good but can go overboard sometimes when dissing a persons vocal talents

Bill just doesn't know when to stop over praising the pretty boys

Denise just needs to keep her tongue in her gob sometimes, personally they should have gotten a true west end star like Ruthie Henshall

John Barrowman i have to say is the best, he gives constructive comments and is sexy too!! if he was younger he'd be a great joseph himself

John's always honest, though I tend to agree with Zoe more. She does seem to be nicer to the Josephs than she was with the Marias though. Bill has to be the worst - he praises even awful performances. David Ian was so much better.

I would say John, he is far more in touch with the guy's - I respect Bill, but his opinion is very much yesterday - Zoe I just don't rate at all!!!

I think it's a great panel overall - it makes all the difference on these shows when the judges actually know what they're talking about. John's my favourite though.

I agree Phil2003. A really great panel who (compared to other reality singing shows) are not just there to promote themselves at all times. John is also my favourite although i respect Zoes opinion too.

ALW is also a huge favourite. His pained expressions make me laugh every week when the camera cuts to him

Agree.
Just adding that Bill is a little bit smitten with the lot of them it seems. He could try being a bit more judgemental. That's what he's being paid for after all.

Yes, he does seem to be a bit too easily pleased.

Zoe, although John comes a close second.

It's not that I don't like Denise and Bill, but as said before, Denise's drooling is a tad annoying, and Bill - I don't know. To start with I wondered what he was doing there, especially when he's referred to as Chairman of Everton football club!

Don't even get me started on ALW. I don't like him at all.

Edit: I think Zoe has the best insight, as she is the person with whom they work closest all week. Therefore, she is in the best place to comment on their final performances IMO. This could go the wrong way for her though, as she could develop favourites, and become biased. (Can't really see this happening though).

About that. I don't think she becomes biased, but I do think working with them all the time means she gets emotionally involved with the contestants. i.e she's more likely to be harsh on someone if they've disappointed her rather than actually giving a really bad performance (if that makes any sense)

I think John is the best overall. His comments are the most constructive to the lads as he gives them points to improve on which is what they need.

Zoe comes a close second; she knows them the best and is aware of what they can do therefore you know her comments are well grounded

John is my favourite. He's tells it like it is and is both a professional performer and a fan of many genres of music too. I think that comes across in his enthusiasm.

I'd agree with that too. Bill is like a female Paula Abdul and has to give love to everyone! But even Paula sometimes comes out of her comfort zone and gives negative comments, albeit proceeded by "let me just start by saying you look fantastic tonight!"

And what is it with Andrew that everytime they play the phantom music, he looks like he's having an out of body experience

Yeah, I get you. We'll have to see how her comments go as the series progresses, I guess.

John's great -- he's had to take on more of the role as the critical judge in the absence of David Ian and as Zoe seems a lot more laid back this year, but he doesn't do it to be cruel, he's just honest.

ALW - it's his show and he knows what he's looking for and is very experienced, therefore I listen to him more than anyone else
Zoe - I really don't like her, in fact I think she's a bit of a cow, but she is their vocal coach and that's very important
John - I've seen him on stage a few times and I know how fantastic he actually is, he knows exactly what he's talking about (and he's soooo easy on the eye, lol!)
Bill - too soft
Denise - a waste of space and she comes over as a complete panting slapper, with no cred at all

I think this is just ALW's stilted way of trying to get into the swing of things, lol! (He's not exactly a natural performer, poor dear.)
