I suspect that the voting for this show will in the early stages be done by teen girls who will vote for looks rather than suitablility for the part of Joseph. Then there's the mass of sympathy voters... Could end up with best people going out early. ..

I suspect many people of sound mind are getting cynical about all these phone in shows and the amount of dosh the BBC are extracting through phonecalls.

Bob the Builder has a great voice and would be good in Chicago, but I can't see him as Joseph. And what is it with the judges obsession with Chris? His teeth are far too white and I thought his dancing and movements were weird yesterday.

Why is everyone obsessed with Chris' teeth? if you are sitting halfway back in a westend theatre no one will notice that his teeth are really white!

true. which is why I got frustrated when he was in the bottom 2 last week after a very good performance. I don't think he's quite good enough yet though, yesterdays performance was very underwhelming.

I agree, he did not deserve to be in the bottom two last week. I disagree about the second point, I think he is one of the best. I thought last nights performance was great

have to agree with lilhunni_Jo & Jocko Homo about the teeth issue if anything i find rob's teeth/smile more irritating than chris's.

as for the voting issue i feel last week when johndeep left was a small glitch, with people voting for looks rather than talent in some cases, but then again that still doesn't explain why craig went through this week!!

my feeling is that voting wise Lee, Daniel, Lewis & Keith are constantly far ahead in the votes that the others are so close to call that the bottom 2 will change every week as it has done so far.

That's my feeling too, and I think it's probably fair enough. The only one of the rest with real solid talent is Rob and he would be miscast as Joseph.

I think that is probably right but I still think Chris should be up there with them!
I felt Daniel has been starting to seem a bit arrogant? If people agree with me I think he may begin to get less popular.....on the other hand, it may just be me who thinks that.

i agree chris should be up there but ultimately it comes down to his confidence because at times it hasn't been the best, i think that he actually performs better when playing a character and when being himself, like the loincloth challenge, he becomes shy or as in the challenge breaksdown.

as for daniel i've always thought he was more arrogant than Seamus

Yes, I think when he performs he acts really well - i think he acts like joseph. He comes across as quite shy and nervous the rest of the time though. You are probably right, he is probably lacking in confidence, especially after being in the bottom 2 which must have come as much of a shock to him as it did to everyone else.

I liked Daniel the first week but after him refusing to listen to ALWs advice he seemed to me to get more and more arrogant.

Chris B got the sympathy vote last night. On watching again, his performance was the worst after Antony's 'Patience' He was showing desperation and not in a good way.

Well, I don't agree. I thought his was definately one of the better ones. I thought Ben's was second worst, it was a lot better than before but some of it was still out of tune. However he did amazingly in the sing off and deserved to stay.

I think we have a different voting cohort this time. There are many completely sane people who will have decided to not vote anymore after the phone voting debacles of recent months. I am one of those. If those of us that had stopped voting were all average in our support it wouldn't matter but, I suspect, we tended to vote for who we considered the better singers than on personality.

I have a feeling we will see more upsets re:bottom two in both Dream, and Grease because of this. Of course, the big money guys have generally covered themselves with the judges saving system.

I can't say arrogant is a word that comes to mind with anything about Daniel.

Since when did having an opinion mean that you're arrogant?

Daniel arrogant?

If anything he gives the impression that he doesn't realise how exceptionally good he is.

I agree.

My reaction to Antony missing those high notes and a few other notes during his performance was "Aaaww!!!" but my reaction to Chris trying so hard with his singing and dancing was to try not to laugh.

But not even Seamus dared to argue with ALW about his style and interpretation of the song he was given to sing..... that seems pretty arrogant to me

So HE had ideas about how HE would like to perform a song HE had been given and HE expressed them. OMG, the cheek of the man

You've justified my post..... Daniel thinks its all about HIM

His performance is all about him as it is with all the other contestants.

Sorry, so who should it be about? Its still a competition at the end of day.

Most of the Josephs have said at one time or another that Seamus kept trying to teach them and bestow his wonderful experience.

Sadly that didnt help him with remembering the lyrics to something my 4 yr old is currently singing........

ok mayb arrogant is the wrong choice of words, it's just whenever is see him sing or just talk he has a look to him that makes him appear smug

but i could be wrong!!!

as for him talkin back i can't comment on, but anyone who questions their potential employer choices or critisisms so early in their career should be a bit more humble and accept things more graciously

IMHO anyway

The point is that ALW was there to advise and coach Daniel on the type of performance he was expecting from him. To argue suggests that, just like Seamus, Daniel obviously felt he knew better - that is arrogance in my book, if not yours
