ALW worst decision so far

Out of both the Maria show and this one what do you think has been his worst decision re the bottom 2?

There are 3 that I think have been quite stupid those being:

saving Meliz (a singer who was clearly more suited to pop) over Belinda (who could outsing everyone)

saving Siobhan (great singer, terrible actress) over Aoife (great singer and actress)

and then of course saving Ben (who is patchy at best) over Seamus (one of the strongest in the competition).

I think the worst was the Aoife/Siobhan decision though, because it was so late into the competition, and putting through someone who couldn't act for s**t in the final for a role that is 70% acting was utterly idiotic IMO.

Saving Ben over Seamus. I have agreed with all of his decisions so far but this one really was odd and stupid.

Given the emotional way Ben captured the very meaning of "He Ain't Heavy, He's My Brother" last night, I think ALW got it right. I've watched it again - it is quite brilliant when Ben seized the moment and they both sing together. What a fantastic song

Seamus wasn't really Joseph in my eyes. Beautiful looking man, I'll grant him that !

Can't comment on the Maria decisions, I was a latecomer to that series. I liked Abi though

One good performance (which was in the sing off - hardly complimenting) doesn't make up for 3 weeks of average/bad performances and a near scrape into the top 12. Seamus was arrogant and didn't suite the part, but he was consistant every week.

I think he's only made 2 really bad decisions - saving Belinda over Meliz last year and then saving Ben over Seamus last night... of these, yesterday's has to be the worst.

I thought he would save Seamus before the final song ..... but then Ben did the business and I changed my mind. Adding to the fact that I think ALW had his doubts about Seamus, forgetting his lines and he's a singing teacher with experience and being 35 and not to have made an impact yet.

At this stage of the competition does it really matter what order they go out?? We all know which ones will be there at the end and that is when ALW and the GBP will have the hardest decision.

The one decision I thought he may have been wrong was when Aoife was not saved. Thought she wa just right for the role, but of course Connie was always going to win.

I have said elsewhere that Ben could be the dark horse. I don't think he has peaked yet and Seamus was good but the same good performance every week- it did nothing for me, whereas Ben last night really pulled it out of the bag. I agree he hasn't been good the last few weeks but maybe he is now coming into his stride. I might even pick up the phone for him- I like an underdog

He got rid of Seamus purely because he did not have the right attitude. Ben is the worst act left & he will be in the bottom two again soon.

Well he certainly is that! I'm afraid Ben hasn't done anything yet to convince me he could be Joseph.
