I think (and so do the panel) Daniel has the best voice but not sure he looks right for Joseph

Daniel is definately the best singer, no argument there.

I can imagine someone like Keith being great in a few years, with a bit of experience. Your voice doesn't actually stop developing untill about the age of 20-21.

Daniel is the best singer followed by Keith and Lee.

Sorry, I love Rob and think he's a great performer, but he really isn't the best singer.

The best is probably Daniel, though there are a couple of others that could give him a run for his money.

Daniel has a great voice and I also like Lee. I have seen Joseph 3 times with residents from a home I worked in and I love it. It is really great show and it deserves a great singer who can give audiences a great performance night after night.

I think Rob has a great voice, so smooth and easy to listen to. Daniel and Lewis are also very good.

Rob does have a nice voice, but the question was about who the best singer is, which is quite a different issue.

Rob does have a good voice but personal tastes aside, Daniel has the best voice by a mile. I would put Lee second now that Seamus is out.

I agree, but I'm drawn to how Lee puts songs over. He totally convinced me on Saturday of the whole story of the song.

Daniel. Way out in front now that Seamus is out. Followed by Rob.

Lee is certainly good but his vocals, performances and looks are totally lost on me.

to the best singer has to be someone who can pull and style of music from rock, pop, ballad, musical etc..

so...
Chris - too musical would suit west end/broadway shows
Daniel - a bit like Chris but is more classically trained and this doesn't sit well with most genre's take the 'since you've been gone' incident
Keith - good all rounder, but may continue to be hampered by the diciton
Lee - so far as been a good all rounder
Rob - has a very rock style singing voice
Ben - very pop/rock but struggles
Lewis - slightly poppy/musical, think he maystruggle with rock
Craig - too cabaret/working men's club singing style

so generally and so far i'd say Lee is the best but it is only week 3

Lovin' your work lol
Agree....except for Craig. He is dogged by that bouncy dance thing he does but he's only just 'cracked his egg' as John B said, so he's still getting there. Mighty slow for most of you I understand, but I do love a man who tries He was really great in the We will Rock You song

Have you heard Daniel sing or seen him perform prior to this competition?

The roles that Daniel has portrayed and understudied for, the songs involved and the works that they are from have been varied to say the least.

Taking 'The War of the Worlds' as a recent example, Daniel was the understudy for all the male roles and had to be prepared to perform:

'The Spirit of Man' - a rock number originally recorded by Phil Lynnott of Thin Lizzy and Julie Covington but performed on stage in a rock-opera style by Russell Watson and Tara Blaise;

'Brave New World' - another rock number originally recorded by David Essex but performed on stage by Les Miserables and Notre Dame de Paris star, Alexis James;

'Thunderchild' - a powerful ballad performed on stage by the original artist, Chris Thompson of Manfred Mann's Earth Band;

'The Eve of the War' - the orchestra-driven piece that begins and ends the album;

and the best-known song from the album,

'Forever Autumn' - an all-time classic, both performed on the tour by the original artist, Justin Hayward of the Moody Blues (by the way, I would love to hear him perform this on the show ).

Daniel is nothing if not versatile.

However, if the rest of the band is going to play in a different key to the pianist and the drummer/drum machine is going to start six bars too early, there's very little that can be done except try to rescue the situation as best as you can and Daniel did a very good job of that last week. One thing that was also clearly evident was his reluctance to make any excuses. What a refreshing change from so many other contestants in this series and other talent shows who are always ready to reel out the "I've had a cold all week", "I had a migraine last night", "I've got a stomach bug", "My grandmother lost her dentures", "My budgie is off his food" ..........................

After seeing Rob's performance yesterday of Pretty Woman, if he continues singing like that, then it won't be long he's voted off the show.

Now Seamus has gone. This show WILL be won by Lee, with Daniel runner-up.

sorry if i've offended you but i am only judging on what i've seen in the show itself, your obviously a huge Daniel Fan whose seen and heard everything he's done, not all of us are so fortunate and have to sometimes rely on 'Any Dream' being our only point of reference.

so i'll have to take your word for how good daniel is

Geeezzz, Russell Watson and Justin Hayward are big shoes to fill.

And I agree, Forever Autumn would be a great choice.

Lee for me though I think I am lightly swayed by the whole package, ie his acting and looks

I would say that so far that Lee has acted the best when performing but he has had better songs to work with. Daniel can really sing ballads superbly and still hasnt had that chance yet. Maybe he will sing a ballad this week. I would also like to hear Lee sing something more uptempo.

I agree. So far no other has been given the challenge that Daniel was given with Since Youve' Been Gone, without or without dodgy backing.
