Craig did not put a foot wrong, but Ben did......Big time. Do you really want inconsistancy or do you want a professional?

What a travesty! I can sing Crying in the same Key as Ben was asked to do and and it is years since I did any serious singing!

Craig was better on the sing off and I hope that ALW realised his mistake when Craig sang Close Every Door.

Ben was a joke and should have been out!

Shouldn't have been Craig in bottom two tonight IMO, should have been Lewis and Ben, with Lewis to go.

Bad luck Craig for ending up against Ben who has some weird hypnotic hold over ALW and Bill K

Very sorry to see Craig go - definitely was better in the competition and the sing-off than Ben. Good luck to Craig, I really hoped he would make it to the final as I could only see Lee or him as Joseph, none of the others could hold a west end stage for 8 shows a week.

I'm sorry he had to go tonight. I didn't much like him at first, but he's grown on me. I would have happily seen more of him, especially as I cannot stand Ben. Of all the contestants I think Craig's been on the biggest "journey", although I really am so pleased that no-one mentioned the word "journey" tonight, that it rarely gets mentioned in this show. Such a breath of fresh air!

thank you pammi_i craig has gone, but he is not forgotten. i was hoping lee would take
the journey home tonight. but, there is always next week, the week after that, and the
week after that...

I'm happy that Craig got as far as he did, but very sad that he has to leave while others who aren't as dedicated or proficient get to stay. He's a smart fellow and will use this training and exposure to raise himself up, so to speak. I'll miss him.

Craig...such a sweet guy and a surprisingly sweet voice despite all his detractors. I am a total Daniel Boys fan but I wish Craig every success in the future...it looks as if Bill really was his champion and I believe he'll ensure good things happen for Craig.

I hate being spiteful or nasty but it has to be said Ben has more lives than a blinking cat! Good stage presence but awful vocally!!

I'll watch Craigs songs over and over and weep a bin full of kleenex. Tomorrow the sun will shine again in my mind and I'll see Craig being celebrated as the bravest and nicest of Josephs ! For now, I need to mourn the loss of my Joseph.

Just nipped in to say that even though I was rooting for Daniel and Lee, Craig has grown on me in the last few weeks and I think he is fantastic! He'll get a good job because of this if Bill Kenwright has anything to do with it - good to have a theatre legend on your side! Did you see him crying?! (Bill, that is). Craig was dignified and professional right to the end. I would have paid to see Craig, I wouldn't watch Ben if he was free.

Watched the show back again. I only just noticed that Ben has a lisp as well as Lee! I thupoth a lithp doethn't matter in thith producthion!

Here is what I think of the remaining 4 Josephs.

Lee - Too dark, but probably a shoe-in for Joseph

Ben - Wouldn't survive the rehearsal stage, never mind the 8 shows a week! What was AWL thinking about! As we say up here, "Ben is mince!" Totally inconsistant, a disaster waiting to happen! Crying- a difficult number to sing? Don't think so, not if you are a good singer!

Lewis - Can't think of anything to say, He isn't even on my radar!

Keith- Not In a million years. Wee smiley face that is unable to show any other emotion, as portrayed again tonight. Joseph? Don't make me laugh, can you still get the Charles Atlas Course cos he looks like he is wearing Pampers age 4-5 when he has the loincloth on. When exactly is he going to show us what he has to give and what could it possibly be? Does anyone outside of Dalkeith even care?

A serious mistake was certainly made tonight when AWL saved the wrong guy!

Cannot believe Lewis and Keith are still in it. I wouldn't pay fifty pee to see either of them.

Craig deserved to stay in. He was much better than Ben in that last number IMO

Very sad to see Craig go but that doesn't mean we will never get to see him on the West End stage - he has a very powerful champion in Bill Kenwright .

I think apart from championing Craig for his obvious talents - Bill Kenwright liked and admired Craig as a person and I think he will do all that he can to help him further his career.

Am so sorry Craig went last night - his performance was way etter than Ben's in the solos. I would imagine Ben has been saved as fodder for Lee.

But you know what Craig has been seen every week on national television and he is so going to get work out this so don't be too upset.

He rose tot he challeneg every week and if Boll has anythignt o do with it he will be out there starring somewhere soon.

Poor Craig I would have liked to have seen him in the final - the underdog makes it big. Last night, I was suprised at myself, I didn't get all emotional with Craig's departure(but that may be because Lewis was saved by the public vote ), but watching "Close Every Door" again, I do feel a bit teary-eyed, especially at the end.

Just wanted to say i was sorry to see Craig leave last night. I hope he has a future in musical theatre as he has grown so much. He is not a cabaret (sp?) act any more.

I've never visited this thread before, and I should warn you that I do love Ben!! However, I was aghast last night when Ben was saved - on that performance specifically.

When ALW said 'I have to think of the casting' before he delivered his choice, I'm not sure what he meant.

As has been said on this thread earlier, maybe Ben is cannon fodder for Lee in the final. Maybe it's the charisma thing - Ben moves better than anyone else and he holds the audience - people who've seen the show have witnessed this happening.

I'm not happy that Craig has left and Keith is still there. On voice alone, Keith is probably second to Lee, but I've never seen him as Joseph, on so many different levels. Craig is far more entertaining all round, for me, and I don't see him as a cabaret or pub singer, not in the least. I could actually see Craig as Joseph, he just looked the part to me, but what do I know

I'm pleased to see that this thread hasn't exploded into a hate fest, like the Daniel thread did last week Far less venom around here - obviously nicer FMs

I know people say it every week, but I'm sure Craig will have gained so much from this exposure and experience, and I can't think this is the last we'll see of him - plus, he seems like a nice lad
