When ALW said 'I have to think of the casting' before he delivered his choice, I'm not sure what he meant.

As has been said on this thread earlier, maybe Ben is cannon fodder for Lee in the final. Maybe it's the charisma thing - Ben moves better than anyone else and he holds the audience - people who've seen the show have witnessed this happening.

I'm not happy that Craig has left and Keith is still there. On voice alone, Keith is probably second to Lee, but I've never seen him as Joseph, on so many different levels. Craig is far more entertaining all round, for me, and I don't see him as a cabaret or pub singer, not in the least. I could actually see Craig as Joseph, he just looked the part to me, but what do I know

I'm pleased to see that this thread hasn't exploded into a hate fest, like the Daniel thread did last week Far less venom around here - obviously nicer FMs

I know people say it every week, but I'm sure Craig will have gained so much from this exposure and experience, and I can't think this is the last we'll see of him - plus, he seems like a nice lad”

I do not want to cause an arguement but last week was a shock and it was not just Daniel fans having a rant on there. Yes he definatley was not a Joseph, but like Craig he was the best in the sing off.

You won't cause an argument with me! I've said all there is to say about Daniel - he wasn't Joseph, regardless of the sing off or any other performance. He's not what ALW is looking for - that's the bottom line and you can't get away from it.

I agree completely, he has moved on from the show now, and i see ALW point of view there, just he could have explained it better.

I believe Craig joining a few touring productions will giving him the experience he lacks and in a year or 2 will be on the west end stage.

I hope so, he's a really likeable lad, willing to learn and build on his talents

well with what we saw with rain on my parade, he really went all out to get it good putting in hours with Lee and Daniel so if he keeps that up he will go far.

Morning everyone!

I have now calmed down and seen the bigger picture, but my head still hurts!!!!

The disappointment we all felt for Craig last night should now be happiness. He has spread his wings and is about to fly! \o/

To Bill Kenwright, Thank you for making Craig's dream come true. You don't need to be told that you have got a future star there, you always knew! I look forward to buying 4 tickets, so my family can see the show when it hits Edinburgh!

What a gentleman you are. You told us how your Mother is so proud of you, yes I can understand why. This was not about favouritism, as has been suggested in some places. No, this was about faith in this young man coming up with the goods but just needing a little push in the right direction. Craig was always at a disadvantage, and all you strived for was a level playing field. Well Signed, Sealed, Delivered, he's yours! C'mon the Blues!!!!

The way the public votes in these reality shows can cause an upset, as ALW pointed out at the very start. Just how many of these voters have ever seen the inside of a theatre? Vote with your wallet, not with your thumb on the redial button from the comfort of your armchair!

To Graham Norton, It's highly unlikely that Craig will have much time off this week, He will be already working on his new role, cos that's the kind of guy he is!

To Trixiehobbit are you still ironing that coat?

Craig did his usual performance and it just wasn't what the public wanted !!!! So it looks like the Sandwich Delivery boy is going back to delivering Sandwiches.

I am a supporter of Craig and do believe he could have been Joseph, but this is now his 2nd attempt at stardom on TV and yet again he falls by the wayside !

I accept that if Bill Kenwright gets involved with Craig, then chances are he can get somewhere in life, but ALW is more powerful than BK and ALW ousted Craig.

Craig knew he was gone even before ALW said so !!!

I now have no interest in watching the program anymore.

Not strictly true. It was Ben they didn't want. Craig just got caught in the crossfire! Please read my previous post if you haven't done so already.

Craig desrves all the good fortune we hope is coming his way; I always felt he was the underdog who's put the most into vastly improving his performances and his swet face and person will take him far. Bill has been his protector/champion all along and knows a good thing when he sees it!

As for Daniel, he has myriads of fans who rightly feel he was totally stabbed in the back . To say he was never Joseph is utter twaddle. If he'd got it I am positive the critics would be raving about the boy; as it is, he'll go far because by far he was the best.

well in the interests of fair play i think ALW should explain his remark, and the duet with josh grobin. viewers will start thinking the 'competition' is a sham. is ALW using the sing-off to eliminate lee's competition? has ALW already cast lee as joseph?

hey everyone \o/

I'm bloody glad that Craig left the show with so much respect from everyone. Dignified and gentlemanly, to the very end.

'Close every door' was fabulous.
As he felt the touches of sadness from the Josephs, he greeted them all with thanks and real sorrow. He sang out and he really touched people. He applauded everyone ELSE afterwards !And I don't give a flying flipflop about the 'it was blaaaand, it was unemotionalll' whingey whingey critics. They no nothing of heart and valour ! They care only of textbook and theory. Craig didn't shout 'foul' EVER. He never had a strop. He never threatened to walk off when he got a bad comment. He just toiled and toiled with quiet determination and hope. And for that reason that man deserves thanks and my utter respect.

He was what Joseph was all about, if I am to believe ALW's "nurturing not torturing" blab. To you, ALW:
Did he not improve? He did - the confidence was right there this week. His movements not awkward.
Did he not sing well? He did, with vocals consistent throughout. Every single week. And he's made the judges cry before. How can you ignore how the man can make people feel??
Has he not impressed you with the rapid way he has picked things up? His hard work and total commitment, his stamina; is that not important as a theatre stage performer?
I won't be voting anymore anyhow. Right now I feel I fell for it hook, line and sinker ALW. That was probably the worst reason I have heard of for dismissing a Joseph. The smile in the wrong place. Oh, the one you forgave him for? Think before you speak Sir please, because your starting to have even me doubting your integrity now. Flimsy "reasons" will not do for the fans who have spent time money and emotions on this show for weeks.

I've so enjoyed supporting Craig \o/
The chatter between us tiny group of mortals in Craigs Camp - who believe that nothing is ever impossible !
Seems it was now, but the future is orange we said, didn't we? I'm sure it will be blinding He'll be just fine.

I shall now sit back and try and enjoy the next show but I most definitely will not be getting that wonderful warm glow anymore, now McJoseph has taken the high road home.

how good did the boy do - He was brilliant on close every door - still think you made the right choice Andrew ?

Craig you were awsome - well done xx”

He sure was, Dottymac. However they didn't close every door. One was left open and he just walked right through. He has been given the chance he dreamt of and will not let anyone down.

Keep running Craig and don't look back. You've got your dream and I'm sure that everyone on this thread is glad to have been part of it.

Henry Hippo - please I've been through the post but I can't see what you mean. Has Bill offered Craig a job or are you simply being optimistic? It would be wonderful if he has, Craig absolutely deserves it.

Check out <andrewlloydwebber.com>, I still don't think you will be happy with the explanation th!

We have been playing craig's clips on youtube and the only smile in Close Every Door, was at the end, when I think he did it to show there were no hard feelings towards ALW. That is the kind of guy he is. ALW is being 2 faced, saying that he forgave Craig for reacting to the audience then stabbing him in the back for exactly doing that! I was under the impression this was all a big public audition. Craig?...............As far as I'm concerned, you passed!

You would think the way ALW talks, that Roy Orbison was the only person on the planet to be able to sing 'Crying'. Ben was hopeless, it was not acting, that was the genuine article! Just not a good enough singer I'm afraid!

Sorry Trixie I thought I had given you the lowdown in my last pm.

I asked in one of my earlier posts today, which was a general one to all and sundry, if you had finished ironing the coat?..................rumour has it he might need it, but i! don't know for sure. Yes he may be at a theatre near you!
I'd just like to say that you are much quicker on the uptake than some in this thread. They really nead to read more of the posts and keep up to speed.

The Scotchproduction website may have changed, the ex band member may have removed the Iron Virgin stuff from the site. Any ideas how to send the tracks. Full CD 18 tracks. Ps Travis got ***** for their gig in Glasgow.

Trixiehobbit, your post sums up the feeling of many of us. Though an unyielding Daniel fan I think Craig was one of the sweetest and most dignified boys in the competition and a quick learner...I just think for him to lose to a performance like Ben's was the ultimate injustice. If Craig appears as Joseph in Edinburgh I'm going!!
I do like Craig but Daniel won my heart!
