This is where my geography lets me down - I'm not sure which parts of the country some areas are.

Aberdeen looks as though it might get some snow Pat?

It's usually Aberdeenshire that gets the snow, the city doesn't get that much really as it's too near the sea, I think It is forcast for the Grampians though.

The west country seems badly hit, & I'm glad not to be going anywhere by ferry to Europe. Brrrr

Yes, poor cat indeed

We've had a very wet and windy night, then had a brief sunny spell, but the wind's picked up again, and looks very like more rain

Having seen a guy from GMTV struggling to stand up in Brighton, am glad it's not Worthing this week

Just thinking the same Red Lady! Cannot see out of the windows now the rain is so heavy. Think the conservatory may be about to take off to The Emerald City. Only had a brief power cut. The oil tanker off the Isle of Wight seems OK for now. Hamster continues to sleep though it all. Broadband keeps disconnecting and the phones keep wimpering. Hope it clears a bit for the end of the school day.

Our 'Elvis' (Lee Memphis King) show on Saturday was very good. Had 'Can't Help Falling in Love' and finished with an encore of 'Suspicious Minds'. Everone on their feet at the end. Had my daughter worried a few times that my Mum and I were going to leave our seats as it is very hard not to get up and rock n roll Kept wondering how it will be 4 rows forward in Worthing. Well someone has to take Row A - just hope there's an orchestra pit. Just had the stage in front on Saturday.

Hope to be back later - weather permitting.

Hope you enjoy it and the rain/snow/wind holds off. Although I know the title, and it's a classic, I don't think I have ever watched the film. About the only oldie I haven't.

The rain's back here, as I thought it would be.

There didn't look any room for an orchestra pit in Worthing, so guess they're off stage as they were in Brighton God, that was six MONTHS ago

Hope your weather improves Mrsp

Enjoy your 39 steps tonight Pat I'm going to see a thriller on Thursday, The Late Edwina Black

Oh I think Worthing might be a bit on the extreme side weather-wise this week! Lets hope its calmed down by Easter.

I'm just up the road from MrsP and we seem to be getting torrential rain and high winds - mainly in short bursts. The garden is like a mud lake... nice!

Good luck to the cast and crew for tonight. Hope their journeys over to Ipswich have been good. Wonder if anyone reading the thread is going this week? Would be nice to hear from anyone with tickets.

Pat, I hope you have a good time tonight. Let us know how it was. As well as seeing Hairspray, when we are in London we are also going to see Mousetrap. I know myself and OH will enjoy it, but my 11 year old has only ever seen musicals so it will be quite different for her.

I'm sure she will love them both.
My daughters always loved any theatre, I taught them well!

I would love to see Hairspray, I am trying to twist my sisters' arm that when we are down in October to see Joseph we to go to the matinee,no response yet though.

My OH is already going to 3 shows when we are down in April, so I don't want to push my luck there.

Enjoy yourselves Pat. I love the theatre too but don't get to go often enough.

Let us know what you think of it. Its good when the touring productions are visiting our cities we can let one another know about shows if we're thinking of booking.

I forgot to ask Pat to give us her views to what she thought of the show, i`m sure she will have a great time. I love the theatre too and try and get as often as i can, isn`t it great that these touring shows make theatre more accessable for everyone who can`t go or don`t have the time to go to London to see a show, and we have such a great choice available now (i wouldn`t be thinking of joseph would i ?)

It is Kezza. In our town we've always had strong amateur productions of both musicals and plays but its great to see some of the professional companies coming now. One of the things the amateur groups can't match them with is scenary - the cost I suppose. I remember watching Annie with Su Pollard a few years ago and when it came to the Christmas scene you could hear all the children in the audience go aaahhh when they saw the Christmas tree.

Hi Pjb,

You are so lucky. Mazza has a well trained OH who is fantastic at ironing. My OH would need a diagram and instructions to even attempt a bit of ironing. Still he makes a decent cuppa - bless him!!!

Not through to the box office thats what the interwebz are for...and booked quite awhile ago as a "just in case" measure! I had Row C centre for most shows in Edinburgh and that was quite close enough so Row B is a bit....close but hey, not going to complain now am I

Row A in Worthing??!!?? Oh...I think its Craig that should be nervous about that hehehe”

Hi Itslmo,

Great to hear from you. I can't believe we are going to be in Row A either, its going to be so close. We'll be able to see everything!!!!

Really looking forward to it though.

Take care,

Hi Mrs P,

Glad you had a fantastic time on Saturday and how fab that you mention Can't help falling in love and Suspicious Minds, takes me back to Dream On CD with Craig singing CHFIL so beautifully and of course his fantastic version of Suspicious Minds on ADWD. Suspicious Minds still has to be my second favourite Craig moment from ADWD. It was a brilliant performance and still a bitter pill to swallow that this was the week he had to leave the competition.

Weather in South East has been terrible today. I got soaked to the skin leaving home at 6.30 this morning on the way to the station and soaked again when I got off the train.

My coat didn't dry out all day which was lovely!!!

Still coming home this evening, it wasn't too bad as the weather forecast had threatened it would be even worse tonight. Probably will start later on this evening.

I feel really sorry for all those people who have had even worse weather today, I understand it was particularly bad down in the South West today. So am thinking of Trixie and others and hoping everyone is ok and safe indoors tonight.

Enjoy the rest of the evening and looking forward to meeting you soon Mrs P. Not long now!!!

Take care all,

Love Siouxsie xxx

Hi Siouxsie - you sound as though you got a good soaking this morning. I've been dodging showers but the wind hasn't been too bad. I hope the storms don't knock too many internet connections - you can cope with having to stay inside but no internet.
