Hi Kym. Welcome aboard

I've found this on Craig - he has indeed performed Michael Jackson song; but it looks like it was for Karaoke competitions !

I'm starting to break out in a sweat.

But how do you know that he is singing the Michael Jackson song 'Black and White' on Saturday?

What Information? I just read that his local Tesco is backing him, so every little bit helps! lol.

Yeah Trixie! 6 pages. Wooo hoo! Our boy must surely have pulled up along side the frontrunners in this competition now.

I don't think they get a choice now of number to do, it just gets given to them at the beginning of the week, so hopefully they are given something they can do.

Trixie, if your guess is right we have one very brave young man. Let's hope it is not a straight karaoke version. There have been a few of these in recent weeks and not very good ones at that. We should however remember what ALW said about nurturing and not torturing the boys. Doesn't stop you wanting it to be a bit more gladatorial though!

What a pity we only got a cut away shot of ALW during Craig's performance on Saturday I got the distinct impression that JB just managed to compose himself in time. DVO may have been well gone, as they missed her out all together! I wonder if Craig got through to her at long last.

When JB told Craig to push Lee and Lewis? during the acting test and he didn't push them hard enough, it was probably because of 'elf and safety mate! There were a few opportunities where it could have become a bit messy during that part of the show!

I wonder if there will be any surprises this Saturday. There is one person I think should have gone in the last 2 weeks and must certainly go this week, but who knows what could happen. We're now at the stage where we are watching to see who blinks first. Maybe it is too close to call now. I hope they stop playing mind games with Craig though. It would be nice to see him safe a lot sooner than usual!

He did get through to DVO Henry - at the end, the camera pans back, to see judges in the corner from the side/back angle and you see DVO dabbing her eyes. First time I've thought 'good' when someones crying !

Thanks for the links thms. Donny has a great voice. Great to see them

Let's just say they know nothing of common courtesy in that thread. Sorry that's wrong. They're experts on the 'common' side, but they haven't mastered the courtesy bit yet lol. Waste of time that was. Seems you have to wear blinkers if you like Lee. Hey ho. Craig's just doubled his votes from me now

Back to my guess - is it a four word song starting with S?
Please say yes...”

An apology to Lee fans

After discussing this post with some Lee fans, I would like to offer an apology for any offence I caused for branding you common. It was only wordplay ladies, nothing malicious or antagonistic intended. Amazed people saw it actually, being on the Craig thread lol. I got ignored basically, then got dejected so I spat out my smart remark. I wasn't impressed with some of the comments later that evening either, but having read IKWSDD's post I do hope that evening was a one off and we can get a nicer train of thought going. I have a wicked sense of humour, but you know sometimes you got to remember people do read the threads and sometimes people get the wrong impression, which I apparently have.

I've no wish for any poster wars/Joseph wars or any blooming wars, so that's the end of it from me. I echo IKWSDD's thoughts on the 'message' thread 100%

Happy posting on all threads

Thanks for the last link Trixie.

I decided after seeing a terrible comment about Craig's version of This Is The Moment on Youtube, to check out the Robert Cuccioli version from Jekyll & Hyde to see what all the fuss was about. Well I could appreciate the huge production, the fantastic set and the fact that God knows how many hours of rehearsal went into this song before it reached the stage where it was filmed. I didn't detect much emotion in his performance though.

Now Craig's version was like an unplugged session, stripped to the bone and without any of the above. He had in fact been lucky enough to get the right song at the right time and due to circumstance, give a different reading altogether of this song. Unfortunately anyone seeing this clip, without knowing the journey that brought him to this point, would not appreciate just how heartrending this version was. It takes something special to create that little something that just causes the tears to well up and the heart to pound. That is what audiences will remember, that precious moment!

I've watched it again <sigh> Everytime I watch, I will him on! Even though I know they loved it, I can still feel my little heart going nuts for him. His 'moment' was magic for me Henry. These people who know zilch about him on Youtube probably post negatives just for the reaction. The good ones are coming in thick and fast \o/

I haven't checked out Robert Cuccioli's version yet - I will when I get a minute. But that song is Craig's song to me now - so it will be hard for me to listen to another singer and enjoy it ! I'll let you know on that one. tc

can I just say that Craig made me cry when he did that song? I wasn't really a big fan of his - but when he did that - I saw all his emotion, how hard he had worked and tried to get rid of his 'cabaret' image, how he had tried to correct his breathing and all that - he also really 'felt' the emotion - hence the genuine tears - he made me cry again when I watched it a second time - and he made the professional panel cry - so although I think he may be in trouble this week due to the competition - I hope - if he is in the sing off - he goes through.

Hey don't worry love. I think Lee's adorable but that doesn't mean he's flawless. We are a naughty lot on his thread and sometimes what's said in cold print would actually sound a lot nicer if said aloud, with the "jokey" tone coming through. The curse of the Internet, I suppose! My friend thinks Craig is lovely by the way and wants him to win. We'll see. Who knows?

Thanks Tanith

I've had so many sweet pm's about this and all say the same. Sorry, they didn't wish to cause offence, and I've taken it all in the concept it was intended as just jesting. Had a lovely glass of champers in there last night and all's tickety-boo in Craig and Lee camps now

(((Tanith's mate))) for loving Craig \o/ Good girl !

What is she thinking about Craig performing Michael Jackson this week? It's got me nervy - but I'm also really, really intrigued now. Nice for Craig to get an uptempo number that isn't over 30 years old for a change, but the song Black & White doesn't build to a climax which don't bode well in these contests (ie. Faith ) and he hasn't given us confidence in his dancing yet either so I am clueless as to what to expect.

He's going to blow me away or he'll be overshadowed by greater songs. Craig hasn't let me down vocally yet though - and I don't think he will this week either. He's just got me a little bit freaked with this strange song choice..

I don't think you should worry too much about Craig this week trixie.

By all accounts he is doing a group song with Lee and Daniel and I am sure he will be able to hold his own.

Check the podcast for week 12 on the Joseph site. Interesting that Craig's name crops up as the one to go out this week! All together now.............."I love the sound of breaking glass". Is he now being seen as a threat?

Don't worry girls, our boy will handle this better than you expect. Just KEEP THE FAITH and make sure you VOTE!!!!!

Can I make a confession?

I despised Craig at the beginning of this competition. I remembered him from Pop Idol and dismissed him as a reality tv wannabee. I didn't think he had any genuine motivation to play the part and was more interested in the fame and getting on tv (bear with me, I am going somewhere with this!).

However, he has made a journey and I was just so made up for him last week because he had proved something not only to the audience and panel but to himself. I was as proud as if he was my own son (also called Craig!)

If the general consensus is right and Craig leaves this week (although I hope he doesn't) he can do so with his head held high.

Just one thing though - lose the 90's boyband hairstyle. That belongs to Cabaret Craig.

Hey Spider, Let's not get into haircuts lol. There's not a decent haircut amongst the other five!!!!!! I know what you mean though

It's not easy changing your hairstyle radically unless your name is Beckham!

I hope he has managed to nick some decent gear out of wardrobe this week cos I don't believe he owned any of the clobber he has worn so far. He needs to look like a rockstar this week.

I can't say that any of the others were particularily brilliant or convincing on their rockier numbers so he has a great chance to capitalise on last week's performance.

Check the Daily Star tomorrow, I heard he is featured.

If you check the podcast, the floor that Craig is rehearsing on is a bit of a giveaway. lol.

C'mon Trixie we're nearly on page 7

He really has made a leap in the last week or so - and yes I think it will be great for him singing with Lee and Daniel - rather than the young boys.

Looking forward to it.
