I'll leave you a camel. In fact, I'll bring an extra home and send it to you...in exchange for a MobileJoseph program? Pleeeeease?

Deal! If I can't manage to smuggle Craig past Canada Customs I'll make sure to smuggle a MobileJoseph program, and anything else that looks cool that they might be selling

Have decided to impose an embargo on myself regarding the kilted one! The computer has gone into meltdown twice over the last few days ( I'm not owning up to anything!! ) but I think Husband Beaver has his suspicions!

Yes, I hope he can recover enough to wear a kilt again - after all, it was one of the many things which separated him out from the crowd. Can't see many of the other Josephs carrying the look off with quite such flair!!

(Oh dear, just talked about it again, doh! )

I'm so jealous of you, I keep looking at the dates to see if I could get to an earlier show but the dates clash with the schools returning here.
by the time I get to see him, I'll be the last of us, ..it'll be yeah isn't he good !!

so what do you think he could do next ?
ideas please !”

Only seven and a half weeks til we see the show. Its going to be strange to be one of the first to see him. I hope I'll be able to give you a good run-down of how it all went, but I also don't want to spoil it for everyone who still has to go.

I do think that seeing Craig on home ground will be extra special. By that time, he will have proved all his critics wrong (again!!!) and be on the home straight. Bet it will be really emotional for all of you too.

Thinking about what he could do next!!! Well, now I am behaving myself, I will suggest that having put in his time on the tour, there may be some other producers interested in him. I think some of the other posts reflect this too. Being in with BK gives him the perfect start to his career in MT and I'm sure BK sees it as an investment. No crashing and burning here!!

With his looks and talent, Craig will be entertaining us for some time to come.

While the thread is quiet, just thought I would shout:

"HOPE THE REHEARSALS ARE GOING WELL! GOOD LUCK TO ALL THE CAST OVER THE NEXT TWO WEEKS!"

We are still 100% behind Craig and have all our fingers and toes crossed for him.

Well, it's rubbish as RUG clearly states that there will not be a 9th show. I think they're grooming Lewis to take over at the end of Lee's run - and maybe his spring vacation dates - but the story is just plain inaccurate.

The Keith "news item" is just pathetic. I hope someone at BW pulled that out of their hindquarters and that this level of misinformation isn't being propagated by Keith's people. I never thought of Keith as a Joseph but I DO respect his voice a great deal and hope that Walsh isn't just jerking his chain.

And how hard is it to spell "Boys?"

Hi all - been so busy lately I've been having early nights !

I am gobsmacked by that article. Since when has a boy played the role of Narrator? It's a female role usually. I don't know what to think tbh. And how come he didn't mention Chris Barton playing Benjamin and understudying Craig? Mmm, most odd.

This can't be Craigs Big News we are waiting for can it? I am very doubtful, as the Joseph tour posters are already printed and you would think with Keith being runner-up in the ADWD show, his name on them would be a plus for sales. We also heard Keith was to get a role in We Will Rock You, which turns out to be gossip! (and Brian May attacked ALW for touting for talent on the TV, so that's most definitely not true lol)

I am very by this article indeed. Over to you hippos I guess

when I read the link I just thought

1 it's Craig's moment, not Keiths

2 Diction - no way - I thought he was very slurred and lazy when speaking

#1 - an excellent point, Dotty! Why do people always feel the need to butt in on Craig's good fortune? *smites*

#2 - not just diction, but the range of the Narrator's part is vast. It's a much harder role than Joseph, vocally. And it SHOULD be played by a woman otherwise the show becomes all men except for Mrs. Potiphar and the chorus.

So no news yet... can't believe its nearly half way through Craig's preparation for the tour!!

Keep thinking about how much he put into each Saturday show, bet he's one of the best pupils the director has had to work with. Just thiink back to his prep for 'Don't Rain on my Parade' and for 'Black and White' (a mega-challenge to cover a Michael Jackson song!) OK, so they wanted to tighten up the style of his performances, but at least they are not working with an artist with attitude. I think that these rehearsals will be a rewarding experience for everyone involved.

BTW, I'm with the rest of you on the so-called news article - the show is about Craig and that has been clear from all the publicity so far.

Hi Craigettes

Hows everyone? I'm worn out after a day at the river bobbing along on a tree trunk and catching fish. Great fun I see theres still no members of the cast named on BK's site. Craig must've been lonely when he met the cast - must have looked in the mirror and said 'hello me' cos he's the only one performing so far according to this lol.

Think it must be a case of sloppy journalism again. Have been to the Edinburgh Evening News - who are always on top of the news for the local boys - and it seems Keith is opening a fair in aid of a local care home at the weekend, to help raise funds for a young person's unit. Sounds as if his visit is going to be very much appreciated. Shame our journalist couldn't print something positive for young Keith. Doubt he would be able to keep to that event if he was to be down south rehearsing all week.

Hi Trixie
lucky you bobbing on a river,
I was shopping for school clothes with kids in tow, had to have a lie down when I got home !

anyway

I read somewhere that when he was at Glasgow watching the touring show one of the actors said he was looking forward to working with him - if he got the part,
so it could be most of the same cast which could be why the rehearsal time is so short

less than two weeks to go - I wonder how he is feeling ?
after reading lots of threads, it would seem there are quite a lot of posters going to seem him which is good news

Hi trixie/stashy. Been to BK's site too and ended up looking up the biog of the Musical Director, because as you say, there's no one else to read about yet. Seems a good guy with Welsh connections. I don't have any, but I am going to Cardiff - so looked at the Cardiff Theatre site also (just in case as they seem 'on the ball') but only discovered that tickets are selling well!

We need to get a list up, to see who is going when
it would be great if he had a Craigette at each town to cheer him on !

I'm going to Edinburgh

Hi all,

Think I prefer Trixie's river advernture to the school clothing expedition! I tried to do school clothes early, but they never have the sizes you want!! I've spent most of the day in the car playing taxi driver to the massed Beaver family - thankfully now back down to a workable number after a whole bunch flew back up north tonight. (Phew)

(stands back and waits for geese jokes!! )

I think Dotty's comment makes sense - they have probably kept most of the touring cast, it would help Craig transition into the role and give him confidence early on in the rehearsals.

Either that, or as Trixie says, it the first One Man Band McJoseph. Then we're more like Edinburgh Festival Fringe!

Hi Dotty omg yes, it opens on 20th August !! No time at all now. Pretty soon we'll be reading reviews. Woo!! Kali from the Keith thread is going on 25th and she's promised a review for us Hope he's not too nervous. I'm sure he will be but once he starts going he'll love every minute. I'm feeling excited for him (and little Chris B too bless) and I bet he'll be raring to go by the end of next week. Apparently Craig got a rapturous reception when he went to see the Glasgow show Nice to hear the cast were so welcoming of him. Bet they're pleased he's the one who got chosen

Hi mrs p Yes I do wonder about this Keith being the narrator as he is also performing at Vogrie on Sunday. No way could he fit this in and get back to London to rehearse everything in just one week. It's a role thats bigger than Josephs ! And Dotty had a good point about diction. It improved massively during ADWD, as did his tone, but I would still say the role of narrator is a major one and Keith doesn't seem right for it. It takes a lot of acting too. I'm a fan of Keiths voice, its amazing, but this doesn't sit right with me.

I'm in Plymouth
I could jump in the luggage compartment on the tour bus and tag along for moral support if we have a lack of Craigettes for each venue

Quackkk Do geese quack actually? They make a funny noise don't they? Or is that turkeys? Lol, don't know me birds much do I

I'm saving the school shoes trip til the last minute. Son is growing by the day it seems - or else the tumble drier is getting a carried away by chucking out smaller clothes than went in. Mmmm lol

I'm glad if its the same cast as before - they will have built a 'family' and their experience will be so beneficial to Craig. They would have been a bit nervy on their first performances too and no doubt he will get some good advice
