I have just found out that, for the forseeable future, Craig will not be doing the following shows:-
Wednesday Matinee
Saturday 2pm Show

Thanks Henry, it's good to have that confirmed.

I know the theatres at High Wycombe, Plymouth and Cardiff have said for a while that he won't be doing either the Weds matinee or one of the early Saturday shows (most say 5pm not 2pm though )

I suppose they've had to carve out time for recording and filming! Hey - this career is starting to sound impossibly glamorous! ( now that he's ditched the Baked Beans!)

Have to stick to the Twinnings tonight - pulled the short straw and have to do Teenage Party pick up at some ungodly hour. OH says he's drowning my sorrows for me... in a sympathetic way, of course.

Am in the airport (WITH the passport this time!) waiting for boarding time. This week just zoomed by!

Got to the Adelphi twice and enjoyed myself greatly. Am now waiting on new tour dates/venues and hoping I can manage to get over here (WITH tickets this time!) and go see Craig.

The first night at the Adelphi there was a woman talking about the tour and she started saying unflattering things about Our Man. I turned around and glared at her in full Schoolteacher Mode and she shut up, but OMG what a rude woman. And a Scot to boot! A disgrace to your fair land, says I.

Anyway, just checking in and catching up. Itslmo, you have a camel coming to you. It's even cuter in person than on the website. Mine is now called Nigel. Because naming a camel after Nigel Wright is okay but naming one after BK would be weird.

Stashy - I am devastated for you!!!!
I was so sure that if Craig was going to miss a saturday show it would be the 5 o'clock one. We nearly booked the 2pm rather than the 8pm so it wouldn't be too late for the minis. Close shave there then!

Cunning plan suggestion
Is this not the perfect excuse to persuade OH to come up to Edinburgh for New Year? He couldn't possibly refuse you now.

Hi J. Was this during the performance or before it started? Sitting in front of a couple of women, who insist on having a conversation during a performance, is the bane of my life. This is not a rant at women in general, just my experience at every show I seem to go to. BTW, it seriously P's off Mrs Hippo too!

If the woman you mentioned, new half of what we know I'm sure she would not have been so ignorant.

Well done you for giving her the full schoolteacher look. I bet that was impressive. Yes, we have our fair share of women like that up here in Scotland. Glad you sorted her out!

HOW VERY DARE SHE

Had the woman actually seen the touring show or was she just making completely unfounded comments on no basis whatsoever? I'm sure she can't have been to the show or else she would have seen what a brilliant job Craig is doing, and she is obviously too stupid to realise what a great guy he is as well.

A disgrace to our fair nation indeed - methinks we should just not let her back over the border.

Glad you had a good trip though J
A safe journey home to you and Nigel x

And me - for Joseph Craig was 100% tops and Chris B second. I liked Lee of course - but never as Joseph ! Saw him in a far more meatier role than this. He's doing a grand job though according to critics.

Chris had the worst songs on ADWD. Craigs songs weren't great either - several of them older than me!! Thank goodness their talent shone through to those who knew what they could do (hiya Bill ) and they're out there wowing the masses now.

Is Craig doing the early evening Saturday show instead now Henry? I knew Wednesday matinee belonged to Chris - but is this just a switch to two matinees for Chris now, or three performances to include two on Saturday?

I is confuddled

And a big hello to pjb seeing Joseph on the 29th October - Row C, so you get a close-up Great to see you

Oh wassa matter - she doesn't like the idea of a fellow Scot gaining popularity and respect for being one of the best Josephs of all time??? Well shame on her. Pity she can't see beyond Lees looks and delve deeper into where the real talent lies. At the end of the day the looks fade She should open her ears and listen to the wonderful vocal ability of Craig - the ONLY Joe on ADWD to bring tears to the eyes of ALL the judges. Doesn't matter how great looking you are - talent like that comes straight from the heart and makes people really feel it. Craigs got charisma and star quality by the bucketload. Noone moved people the way Craig did !

So lovely of you to pop in Janet - safe journey xxx
Look forward to reading your review

Ooh I'm very confused (nothing new there then).

I wasn't a big Chris fan during ADWD (although I loved his auditions and early performances) but he just lit up the stage as Benjamin and it has become a bit of a mission to see him as Joseph so roll on Wednesday

I guess I'm lucky that with all the shows I'm going to I should get to see them both a number of times, but it's a bit of a nightmare for those who have only booked for one show. I'll keep my fingers crossed for you all that you get to see your man

Hi Meteor,

My sorrows were not related to Chris being in the role of Joseph when I go to see the show. All his reviews are glowing.

My disappointment is purely on a personal note. We knew that Craig was not doing all the shows from the start, so it was a bit of a lottery guessing which show to book for. Having been on this thread (far too much! ) as a loyal Craig supporter, standing up for him when others failed to see the magic, I'm sure you understand that I was more than a bit upset when I found out he would not be performing at the show I had booked.

That's all.

Of course , no probs...I was simply surprised that it wasn't common knowledge about Chris's Wednesday and Saturday "slots"
