I'm having a giggle at Stashy being in dreamworld today Told you this guy has a knack for turning a normally clear thinking woman in a quivering gooey jelly head didn't I !! Blimey, we'll all be going ga-ga after we see him ! I'm nearly there already, so if I can't say anything other than 'yum' next week, give me a poke with a sharp stick back to the real world will you ? xx

Only 5 sleeps to go

Thought I'd mention here that Travis are giving away a free 12 track CD in the mail on Sunday today. I adore this band (Fran wears a kilt dotty ! ) and I've been a big fan since they started out. Their new single 'My Eyes' was written by Fran for his baby son, Clay, and it is wonderful. Hard not to feel moved by the lyrics, which to me has been been Frans strength along with superb guitar, catchy hooks and a sense of timelessness in his music that will be played on the airwaves year after year

I highly recommend you pop to the newsagents to get it and sit your bum down to take in "Driftwood" and "Turn" Both classics, and "Turn" is perhaps one of the best Travis tunes ever for me - it was released at a time in my life when I really needed focusing and that tune somehow pulled me through. I am fawning here lol but welllllll, if you feel it you should share it shouldn't you

Finally made it back in to catch up on all the news in the McJoseph virtual world, and boy I've been through all the emotions!

So happy for you Stashy when I read that Craig WAS going to do the 2pm show (daughter came to see why I had cried out such a joyous whoop when I was 'checking my work emails'), then gutted when I realised that it wasn't Craig, although from all we've read Chris is doing a grand job as well, and then finally happy again that you got to meet our man and he was everything you had expected.

I hope you are still floating on that joyous little cloud of yours

I am so happy for everyone who has seen the show and very jealous of those of you who are getting close. Oh well, at least I am now down to double figures and will have something to look forward to for a while to come.

In the meantime I shall live off all the reviews. Make 'em good girls!

Big hugs to all xxxx

Stashy, I'm SO glad you got to meet Craig, but can't believe your bad luck that you didn't get to see him perform.

I haven't yet met this young man you're all raving on about so fingers crossed for Tuesday afternoon in Plymouth, although I've long since given up trying to second guess who'll be playing which role

Hello BB

I think Craig misses the Wed. matinee, and as Charlie has stood in for Vivienne for the two Thurs. matinees I've seen, assume that's the one the narrator misses. The two leads can't both be off at the same time, there would be uproar!!! Of course, now there's a new narrator, Keith, that might change, so guess I'm no help whatsoever

Anyway, do enjoy enjoy yourself on Tuesday afternoon, and let us know who does what

Just got in and (forget the dinner) - had to see the report. So glad you had an absolutely great time - despite the hiccups.

Will take all in properly much later. But just had to follow your tip and check on the above. Watch out though anyone jumping in to book. Hampshire have moved the 2 week Easter school break until after Easter so check your LEA!

Cheers Stashy and looking forward to hearing all. Must actually put something in the oven now as can't fool them any longer

Thanks for the link Mrspoti

So it definite it will be in Worthing during the week up to Easter Saturday. Fantastic news, it's my birthday the following week, so think I can feel an early present to myself coming my way perhaps even a little holiday to see it more than once??

Trixie, thanks for the compliment - I'm not usually described as 'normal' or 'clear thinking'! Thank you!!

Had to pick up the Travis CD this morning for OH - huge fans in this house too.

Am I seeing a pattern here - another Scottish connection Trixie?

Its kind of difficult to fit the experiences of one day into different bits, but I’ll try. As you know, I didn’t manage to see Craig in the show, but did meet him afterwards. I was stupidly nervous as the time drew nearer. Over time, I have seen pop stars, politicians and celebrities in airport lounges and various places. Its not quite the same as getting to meet someone in person who you have supported and admired (sometimes hiding behind a cushion at the sing-offs). My camera was checked, waiting for its very own starring role in The Craigettes Tour of the Tour. I was trying to look cool and calm only to exude and air of barely controlled panic.

The Stage Door was at the end of a corridor, which was also a way out, so it was a bit of a squeeze to say the least. There were Dads with buggies using them as a battering ram, so it was quite an obstacle course for the young ones. There were well over 100 people waiting by the time I got there. I couldn’t see much, but I caught a glimpse of Chris B. I think Keith was there to, but I didn’t see him at all.

Then I homed in on a figure with a beanie on and I knew instinctively that it was Craig. I looked behind and there were about 20 or so left, so I let some of them through. Glancing at my watch, I realised that I would have to get on with it as he must have to prepare for the 5pm show. There were fans there who were familiar with the whole Stage Door thing and some monopolised the area a little. Grrrrrrr… Well – they hadn’t bargained for me…

I put myself in ‘work’ mode, pushed in and introduced myself. I used the “I’m a friend of Henrys” line (well… it worked!! Its good to be well-connected) and he smiled and said. “Ah Stashy!” We chatted for a short time and he was very natural and friendly. The touring is hard work – moving around every week is tiring, but he is loving it and I would say, however cheesy, that he is really enjoying his ‘moment’. He also said that he and Chris B have become great friends.

He said that he does have a look at the thread when he gets some time on his laptop… and then he grinned and laughed. Can’t think why??? He thanked us for the support we give him and I reminded him that I was the first of many who were coming to see him!

Now, for the record, I have to say that none of his photos really do him justice. (you’ll see what I mean!) He has a very quick smile and was wonderful with the fans.

As soon as I can get my teenager to sort out the photos, I’ll post them too.

Brilliant Stashy Thank you so much for telling us how you coped and how it was all so worth it. Thank you also to your daughter for her delightful review on the review thread. Looks as if you did well to survive the stage door frenzy So, whilst us mere mortals wait in anticipation you can join the ranks of those already fortunate enough to have met 'the Boss'. Well done.

It was a new experience and I was unsure how to play it. I got to the stage where I thought I just have to do this and stop being polite to others - my chance would have gone otherwise. And I knew everyone on the thread would be waiting to hear! Such pressure! but I needed it.

My daughter was thrilled and is taking her photo into school tomorrow - its a bonus just to see her so happy!

This is just a request to Craig's web maestro.

At the entrance to the Theatre in Wycombe, they had photos from the current show - stills with Craig and the cast which would be great to see on his website... please...

If Craig catches snippets of what we talk about, I think we'll have a burn a few comments posted here to destroy all evidence of naughtiness. Unless he doesn't mind the raving ideas about a calendar chock full of loincloth and kilt poses. I want to see one of him in his "Mission" tuxedo a la James Bond look too. Oh you hottie Scottish stud muffin, how dare you torture a Leftpondia like this!

Remember the film Calendar Girls a few years ago? Craig could do the same and make enough money to retire in three months, I kid you not.

Oh, and for Dotty's record, my tickets are for the 8 PM showing on Dec 15th. *Squints* My printed purchase says Circle Row J--that's all. Hope that's not too far away to see Craig's pecs or Keith's pretty blue eyes. As long as I'm not occupying Phantom's private box #5, that's fine with me.

See, the calendar idea is for purely non-selfish reasons, as you say, its a good way to help Craig become even more profitable in his chosen profession. Its just a fringe benefit for us to see the kilt and loincloth *nods*

Hello Stashy

A great account of what must have been a brilliant day, and well done to your daughter for her review on the tour thread

I must have the stage door knack as I got to him first and didn't have to use the I know Henry line (must be 30 odd years of practice). I wanted to agree with you that photos do not do him justice, the boy is stunning I didn't say this earlier as I didn't want to make you even more nervous

Am looking forward to seeing your photos as despite meeting him I haven't got any as I haven't got around to replacing my broken camera, that'll teach me Will get one before the next time I see him.

Hi Stashy,

So glad you and your daughter got to meet Craig. Good on you getting past all these people. Still it was well worth all the pushing! I agree with you, Craig is even more good looking in the flesh Now any time your feeling down you can just sit back, close your eyes and remember.

best wishes, N

October!!! I can now say I am going this month.
I bought the tickets way back in April. As a Theatre member I got the tickets 2 for one , because no-one had any idea who was going to be Joseph ,. I did',t think at that time it would be someone I voted for on ADWD.
I Was`watching 'This is the Moment' (again!)last night ,it just makes me smile,he is so happy that he has got it right at last. Thank goodness BK took him under his wing!.
Well, I have got other tours to see before the end of the month, tomorrow is Aspects Of Love , with David Essex, should be good , although I'm sure BB will enjoy her (the first of many) show tomorrow more.

Hello BB

Am sure the boys will not be sick of the sight of you, but they will certainly KNOW you

Don't think I can wait until next year to go again, and think Bristol or Cardiff might well be possible for a day trip, so will consider them.

Have just mailed BK's office and asked if they will tell the box offices in advance who plays Joseph and Narrator at all performances. It is unfair on people who can only go once if they miss their favourite, and it's certainly not fair on Chris if he gets a bad reception because he's not Craig

This will be multiplied now as fans of Keith will only want to see him, and the stand in narrator faces the same problem. If that is Chris as has been rumoured, can you imagine it???

Will post if I get any sort of reply, have a great time tomorrow

Jean
