Is anyone else really relishing the prospect of these two fighting it out in the final? To me, that would just be an absorbing contest. I thought it was really interesting that they were paired together this week and Daniel was, for the first time, acknowledged as being an experienced performer. To my mind, the programme highlighted the fact that they are the heavyweights of the competition and that anyone trying to beat them has a huge job on their hands.

I don't think any would-be Joseph is helped if the competition is felt to be a foregone conclusion - that's the kind of situation where the voting goes strange. However a real contest should bring out the best in these two, make fantastic television and also, mean that for BOTH of them, their understudy days are over.

For me Daniel has the edge vocally but Lee has acted everyone off the stage. They both have enormous talent, charisma and killer smiles. All I need now is to hear Daniel sing something intimate and emotional and Lee sing a belter - just to show that they can....

Hands up everyone who grinned all the way through 'The Lady is a Tramp' and then melted before Lee got to '...you've probably been crying forever.' *puts both hands in air*

It would make a fantastic Final to see both of them battling it out. I hate when we get to a Final and it is too one-sided with someone clearly already chosen as the winner. Fans of either singer must really want both of them in the Final for entertainment purposes alone. I would also like to see Daniel sing more ballads and Lee singing some uptempo numbers before we get to the Final. It is in the best interests of producers to give each singer songchoices that show them at their best.
Really hoping that both make the Final. What a great nights viewing that would be.

I'm in total conflict over these two. I had a horrible feeling they would be paired up last saturday, and then the intro belting out " I'm gonna knock you out" and the Daniel V Lee image, didnt do much for my nerves!

If Daniel wasnt on the show, i really would be backing Lee all the way because none of the others have that certain something for me. But Daniel is there and he just tips the balance for me

I've got Daniels myspace on constantly and his voice just melts me every time i hear it. I'd be interested to hear more of Lee but his myspace is set to private.

I'll be on the edge of my seat all the way to the final

At the present standard of all the Josephs, I think that it would only be fitting to have Lee and Daniel in the final. For me though, Lee has the edge

Is there likely to be mud involved?

I don't think so. I think Lee's acting is his weakness. He clearly tries to act more than the rest but to call it wooden is an insult to trees. Nice voice though and not bad looking.

I grinned all the way through The Lady is a Tramp as I had all the way through Lee's Mack the Knife on the first week. I didn't melt at all however at Lee's performance of I Don't Wanna Talk About It, not as I had done at Daniel's You Give Me Something which is still for me the performance of the series so far.

That is the problem I have with Lee. Good singer, not a bad looking guy, seems nice enough but just doesn't have that command of the stage or camera (not yet anyway).

I still think he'll win though. In fact there's part of me that hopes he does.

Hear, hear. It should really be these two in the final, but I think Lee will get the part. His acting is very good indeed (he already seems as if he is Joseph to me) but before this week I wasn't too sure about his singing. But this time he convinced me, and I think it should be him. (Daniel has a great voice, but he just doesn't look right for Joseph - he belongs in a more sophisticated type of musical imho - something like 'Anything Goes' or some other '30s/'40s vehicle).

These final sessions are where the acting training really shows - unfortunately the amateurs are never going to be able to catch up with the professionals, it stands to reason (a few weeks v. several years? It just can't be done). Poor little Keith has a fab (singing only!) voice but is a hopeless wooden actor - imho he belongs in a boyband and would do brilliantly there, I hope he achieves a singing career after all this because he deserves it.

Dreamcoats at dawn, Lee v Daniel , a thousand lewd images running arround my head now!...

But certainly think these two are the final two unless the public think they are safe and don't vote

Which could happen. I know of people who are fans of both but will only vote for who they think sings best on the night. I am also wondering if one of the younger singers like Lewis or Keith will beat Daniel to the final two position. It all depends if they start giving Daniel better songs. He really can sing those big musical numbers superbly.

Hopefully the GBP won't lose their collective marbles and leave us with an entrancing final between Craig and Ben.

It's a bit disapointing for me that it's come down to this so early. I feel a bit sorry for the rest of the boys as it looks like they're there just to make up the numbers.
But that said, the favourite can fall at any of the fences!

Agree, with Keith in third based on Saturday's performance

I agree with most people Lee and Daniel should both be in the final based on their performances so far........

I also hope they both get roles in the show. Afterall Joseph does have 11 brothers.

Shoequeen you took the words right out of my mouth but i'm slightly favouring Lee more as the part of Joseph is not just about the singing and i haven't see daniel do much acting otherwise!

I agree. For me, it's pretty much a two horse race, and would be severely disappointed if those two did not end up in the final. I would be happy if either of them got the part, and hope that we will continue to see both of them after this show.

It worries me though, how in shows such as these, experience is seen as a bad thing or having an unfair advantage.

I think both Rob and Keith have good voices, but I'm unconvinced that they are good all rounders, and I don't really feel that either really fit the bill of Joseph either.

To my mind, if these two are the final two, ALW could do worse than cast them both. The winner in six shows and the other in two, with each other being fill in as understudy.

I prefer Lee but I can fully understand those that go for Daniel. If I were buying tickets I would be delighted to see either. If a lot of people felt the same then it would make ALWs situation far easier of he were to hit a situation like Connies illness as he would have another to stand in that the public love - rather than have to refund tickets as happened in her case.

Agreed. I was torn between Daniel and Lee until I went on Daniel's myspace - and his voice is just lovely. Not that Lee's isn't; but Daniel has a certain something extra that I like. Wheras Lee, while being talented, seems....I don't know, a bit safe?

Both are my favourites as well - for me, the only two who fit the role.

Lee is actually the boyfriend of my music teacher's daughter, so i feel like i should be backing him ... but at the moment Daniel just has the edge.

Why Daniel? Why not the good but comparatively inferior Lee?

Despite the fact that Lee has been given the songs that have given him the greater opportunity to act and he has tried, I have yet to see him act. Try, yes, but not succeed.

I'm staggered - both last week and this week, he acted out the whole story of the songs, in a way that the others couldn't even hope to achieve (not even Daniel) - I'm just wondering how people couldn't see this!
