Just seen a bit of Emmerdale to see Tricia hiding her pregnancy bump for a THIRD time this month!!! A few weeks ago, she was carrying a washing basket in her house to hide it, last week she was carrying a box of crisps in the Woolpack and this evening she was folding a towel in the Woolpack kitchen.

HOW OBVIOUS CAN THIS GET?????

Ah well, Ive started my own now. She did it AGAIN near the end when her and Marion(!) were walking out of the front gate. She covered it up with her bag!

That bit with the bag was almost hilarious...she had this HUGE bump and a tiny handbag pulled in front of it with a full bodied shot of her coming out of the house lol. They could've at least made Marlon walk in front of her or just shown her head...

i've seen a lot of scenes recently where they've just been doing head shots.

I just can't understand why they didn't write it into the storyline, for heaven's sake???

Oh yeah, I forgot, that would be a much too simple way of covering up a pregnancy wouldn't it (LOL)

Sheree will be going on maternity leave for 6 months so how can they write her as pregnant and then try and explain where she's disappeared off to

Oh PLEASE, I don't have a PROBLEM with it, but in a soap when someone is HEAVILY pregnant in real-life and the character well, ISN'T, it's a bit silly parading the bump around on camera, isn't it?
I know they can't hide it entirely, but they've REALLY been exposing it with her. Especially today (or yesterday), Tricia was wandering down the road and the camera was right in front of her and she was trying to hide this massive bump with a magazine or something. Was slightly amusing really...

I'd hardly say the bump is being paraded around all the time. Half the time I haven't noticed most of the other times it's only because I know it's there that I see it.

Same things happened with Charisma Carpenter in Angel. Fair enough theres a lot of head and shoulders shots, but it's impractical to do this all the time. Charisma's bump was pretty well hidden but there were definately times you could see she was pregnant.

I don't see what else the soaps can do. Eastenders covered up Michelle Collins bump with a HUGE handbag clutched in front of her all the time. Or they could have given Tricia an inexplicable taste in smock dresses like the Sex and the City people did with SJP.

All I'm saying is that we all know that Sheree is pregnant, we all know that Emmerdale's not real so why all the fuss about seeing her bump now and then.

all I'm saying is that the scripwrioters have obviously been in too much of a hurry to notice that they accidentally get her bmp in the camera shot.
