Well, I suppose at the moment they're 'temps'!! (And a bit of artistic licence, because "You're fired!" is such a good catchphrase! It's a bit better than "We'll get back to you" or "We'll keep your details on file", isn't it?! )

Maybe they're all hired on a trial basis?....unless my ears are deceiving me I'm pretty sure Sir Alan utters the words 'you're fired' and there is no vote as it's his sole decision. Although I wouldn't be surprised if a couple of TV producers try to steer him, whether he pays any attention is another matter.

It's an intersting question if they are currently 'hired' how much they are being paid. Maybe a certain amount per day like the BB contestans get?

I didn't say she got fired in the last episode, just as of March/April 2007 ghazal is back at her (original) place of work and not at Amstrad.

Also, apologies for the incorrect title of the thread! as someone earlier kindly referred, it reality-tv-itis!!! I should have said 'fired!!'

Won't they all be back at work now anyway until the week the winner is announced, or until they do the one-off finalist task?

Last year the finalist task was a bit of a joke, it appeared that Sir Alan had already made his mind up who he intended to hire and the task appeared to be just a mere formality just for show.

The finalist task was filmed ages ago. The last two work at Amstrad on a temp basis until the Apprentice final when they find out who won. At least thats what happened last year.

I wouldn't worry about it... I'm sure in one or two of my posts i've referred to them as housemates even with having not watched Big Brother for years... just there are a few pedants on here

Oh God I seem to have offended two people on The Apprentice boards today. I'm sorry, I really wasn't referring to anyone in particular and was referring mostly to someone telling me off on another thread about something yesterday. I apologise if you thought I meant you...

I just wanted to clear up the 'voted' thing because I have noticed that now that The Apprentice is on BBC1 that there are some people that are watching it for the first time and may well be expecting it to turn into a voting situation later on.

I sometimes wish it was at times, but waiting to see if Katie eventually does get fired will make the event all the sweeter for me than if I could vote for it next week.
