ALW said nothing of the sort. He completely disagreed with the panel's comments and what was implied on the VT.

Let's face it, ALW has years of experience in this sort of thing. He's neither stupid or naiive. He knows talent and charisma without it having to hit him in the face.

It does seem like it is a two-horse race, and personally I wouldn't mind if those two horses were the final two.

Lee to win, Daniel as runner-up. Perfect

Please watch a little more carefully - you have completely misunderstood what happened - ALW said he does have charisma!

My thoughts exactly.

They have hardy had a bad word to say about Lee and Daniel, despite Lee's countless bum notes last week and the Daniel VT that was so heavily picked up on by supporters of other contestants. Last week, the judges were all over Daniel - John and Denise even picked him as their "Joseph" - then this week the same two judges rip into him for all sorts of reasons that made no sense when taken in context with their comments over the previous weeks and that were more obviously made up than Denise's face.

The first thing I thought when they criticised Daniel for being too nice and not showing enough meanness or arrogance, and showing all the clips of him saying "Thank you" (Oh, my God! A man with manners. What a turn-off ) was that they were trying to redress the balance of the impression of Daniel that had been created by the VT a couple of weeks ago showing him being as audacious and inconsiderate as to speak his mind

Zoe was harsh but Lee was dire. Weak vocals and unconvincing performance of a rock number. He was just as awkward during 'Dead Ringer for Love'. These rock numbers showed that Lee is the "nice boy" in the pack.

I agree. Keith's vocals were very good, note for note, but he may as well have been singing the menu from the local Chinese for all the feeling he put into it.

Daniel or Lee, and maybe even Lewis who is increasingly impressing me, would have nailed that performance.

I agree.

However Daniel is my favourite but I would prefer Lee to win and Daniel to be runner-up.

If I am reading this rite (if not I apologise) and you think that Keith didn't show any feeling when singing his song, then to be entirely honest I am not sure what performance you were watching.

I was sitting in the audience, and I thot he sung the song amazing, and u could hear the emotions coming thru in his voice.

I agree. I don't know if they were worried that Daniel/Lee or even their fans were gettting complacent about those two being in final or they've got another Joseph in mind, but I did feel that they were trying to show that it wasn't a two horse race.

Admittedly though, both Daniel and Lee have done better and I think in a way that the judges were glad of this because it gave the oppurtunity to criticise them. At the end of the day, neither of them can get complacent cause otherwise some of others will catch them up.

Daniel is a really nice bloke who has the ability and training, but he doesn't 'jump off the shelf' at me. I am sure that Lee is a nice enough chap, and again he has worked hard at his craft, but I'm afariad he doesn't do it for me. My favourite from day one has been Keith, he can sing and dance and act and he just oozes personality.

Should Lee & Daniel have been allowed to enter?

Oh come on! Did it say ANYWHERE that only amateurs were allowed to enter? Any professional actor could have auditioned if they wanted to. Same with Maria.

The important thing is to find the right actor for the role, not to pluck someone from the streets because it makes a good 'story'.

If I'm paying upwards of £50 for a ticket I want to know that the best possible person has been cast.

But do you honestly think he looks the part of Joseph. He just looks so young to me - about 12 and on the stage he will look even younger?

Haha - well Joseph wasn't old, and it is amazing what they can do with make-up

He may not be too old at the start but as I've already said in a seperate thread on this forum, he does have to age 10-15 years during the show. I just don't think Keith could pull that off.

I wonder if they have already cast the rest of the brothers as they'd struggle to find a Benjamin who looks younger than Keith. Would like to see them cast Keith as Benjamin and maybe Rob as the Pharoah!

This thing about Lee & Daniel doing a song better than Keith.
They have had ballads for 3 wks now.

Last week Keith had "Crocodile Rock" which I think if Lee or Daniell had tried they wouldn't have been as good.

Saturdays show (5th) Lee had the Free song "All Right Now" which wasn't that hot (lets be honest here)

So far Daniel has had nothing along the lines of Crocodile Rock or Crazy Little Thing Called Love.

SO WHERE'S THE COMPARASION!!!!

Listen 2 this:

It is soooooo obvious now. Daniel and Lee needed reining in a bit because they were getting too far ahead of the others. Give Keith a song so easy to sing i could rip my vocal chords out and still make a great job of it, get the judges (not so wise monkeys) to slate Lee & Daniel.
Parity restored.

So now you are better than any on the show because you do not need your vocal chords to sing. some of the judges said Lee was not to hot they are now monkeys Lee perfomance was not to great as i see it.

No, i can't sing for ***t!, it is just my opinion. I am just saying it as i see it.
I don't care what the juges say about Lee, i'm not a fan. But they should be constructive with their criticism, 'Rubbish' is what i shout at the screen.

The thing is I think most people, including his fans, agree that that wasn't Lee's best performance. What people are arguing is that Zoe calling Lee's performance "Rubbish" was a bit harsh (considering other's have done a lot worse performances), but more importantly was not constructive at all especially as she is the vocal coach. As the vocal coach, I would have instead liked her to point out what she thought was wrong with performance, how he needed to improve it/what they needed to work on next week.

Yes Mam! I thought ALW said he lacked Chrisma, he does for me,yes he can sing but I wouldn't pay good money to watch him for two hours.

Its more like a 2 and a half horse race now . Little Keith is galloping along now and even i was impressed with him on Saturday. But lets face it, its a song that everyone on the planet must have heard of and even i can belt it out in the shower

I did feel for poor Lee when Zoe made her "rubbish" comment but even he agreed it wasnt his best performance. I'm sure he'll be business as usual next Saturday

Daniel was, well we all know what i think , so i wont bore you with the details

Nicely put. I was expecting comments along the lines of whether the song was beyond him, whether illness meant it was always going to be an uphill struggle, what he should have done differently etc etc. What he got was a shrug, an entirely unhelpful throwaway comment and her shouting over the top of what DVO was saying.

Bet their coaching sessions this week are going to be reeeallllllyyyyyy relaxed.....
