Hey guys

I'm thinking of buying this LCD and I just need to know if that bottom stand thing can be taken off?

Also, I'd like it to be on a stand where the stand and tv are flush with eachother. Kinda like this but a bit tidier looking.

Does anyone have any recommendations?

Thanks very much.

I don't know that particular TV, but all the sets I've seen allow you to very easily remove the stand, so you can wall mount them - it's usually just 4 screws, and some sets even come without the stand in place, and you fit it if you want it.

The link you posted above doesn't work?, so I've no idea what you're looking for? - but if you want something to replace the supplied stand you will have to make it yourself.

Do you mean something like the Panasonic Viera stands?.

If so, they are generally made for each specific TV and I'm not sure if you can get a generic one to go with whatever TV you end up plumping for.

Yeah, that picture is exactly what I mean. I can't find an LG one anywhere though, so maybe I should get a different tele.

Ok, so another question... does anyone know of a tele, 42" and I'd prefer LCD, with one of those stands for under a grand?

Cheers.

Actually, you're wrong.

Most TVs now come with the stand fitted, other than Sharp and Philips.

Actually the newer Sony ones don't have it fitted either - you can tell by how thin the box is, the older ones have wider boxes and the stands are ready fitted.

Certainly in my experience I've seen FAR more sets with the stand ready fitted than not.

Hence i said 'most', the W/X series you have to fit the stand, yes.
