Well, I thought all that when Tim got through to the final - and look what happened!!

i agree, it's very hard to predict how Adam will get on if and when his interviewed...i wouldn't compare him to Paul, he seems to have a bit more substance to him than Paul did last year...it's more whether he keeps getting dragged into the boardroom week after week that I fear...

All of the girls apart from Christina (and maybe Naomi) would fit that bill - especially Katie. Alan would just to love to fire her.

I'm hoping that if he does keep getting dragged back to the board room then alan will realise that its only because the others dont like him, rather than how he's been working, if he's been working well and hasnt done anything wrong, he shouldnt fire him just because he's in the board room again...then again, you never know with alan! I'm just hoping adam doesnt screw up as project manager! I think he deserves to be in the winning team for a change, he needs a break

I saw from a preview of next week on the bbc site that

I know, I'm really worried for him - the others will be waiting to trip him up at every opportunity. (And if his team loses, then that's it really ) Don't you wish there was a public vote involved - we could have dumped all the stirrers by now?!

In normal cicumstances i would hate the public to have a say in who SAS fired, but this series i find myself wishing we could somehow have a say in who was sent to the boardroom from the losing team....

Surely margaret and the other bloke will give the true picture to SAS about what has happened on the task. They will see If Adam does any decent work and inform SAS, after all thats what they're there for.

Yeah, it would be good if the public could choose which 2 go back in with the project leader, then it would be fair, coz we know which ones have been evil behind peoples backs! That way all the nice ones would stay in

But the Apprentice is supposed to be a business show - not another BB type thing. The fact that the losing team leader can choose who to bring in speaks volumes - both Paul and Natalie floundered because they fell for Katie's charms. It's an interesting part of the show.

And the public are not always right in their judgements of people - men tend to do better than women if put to the public by a rough ratio of 2:1. (Figure worked out on the BB forum last year I think).

Yeah it's supposed to be a business show with real interviews, but when its put on tv and people are getting voted off, it just feels like another BB type show, but letting the public vote in this would never work. Maybe we could just vote in this series Coz i feel adams at an unfair disadvantage

Sorry guys but I think Adam is pulling in the sympathy vote. It's great to support the underdog. I don't agree with how the others are treating him but he really isn't showing that 'spark' of originality / intellect that is necessary. He is a bit of a plodder - does an OK job doing what he is asked to do but don't ask him to think outside the box / challenge effectively so others actually listen - he just isn't capable. Sir Alan has seen this - there is no way that he will be the apprentice.

If SAS thought him so hopeless he would have gotten rid of him before now...Adam had done a decent job thus far and made a number of good and valid points along the way. I'm not convinced his the best candidate either, but he is perfectly competent and there is no way he should have been in the board room the past two weeks.

I think Adam would win a most likeable person vote but I do think that Lohit and Christina are better business wise.

Christina defended herself most admirably in the boardroom and was talented, honest and fair throughout - but because she did it so well she won't get the sympathy vote.

That's very true actually, I forgot about them. (Thanks for that - I feel better now! ) And also Zeb is right about the losing team leader's choices speaking volumes - I hadn't thought this through really. (I think we'd do just about anything to get rid of Katie, it's so frustrating just watching, lol!)

I don't think Adam's a plodder - I thought I'd read somewhere that he'd won awards in sales and also he's got a degree.

I thought he was shrewd last night with the print shop man - by not reacting aggressively and praising the print man's efforts he charmingly disarmed the bloke who was spoiling for a fight.

Trouble is I suspect SAS hs got it in his head that Adam's not got the right stuff. There is definitely a North/South thing going on. How do these appalling chinless snobby people get on in life? Bewildering stuff.

How do they get on the programme??!! (Bearing in mind that Sir A is supposed to be virulently anti-snob!!)

I'm stunned how any of them got on the programme. So many of them are frighteningly inept.

What I would like to know is if SA gets to see the footage that we do of the whole day's events before he gets them all into the boardroom?

If so, surely he must see how vindictive, inept and manipulative some of them are?

If this is the case, then it has nothing to do with a sympathy vote for Adam, but downright outrage that he is being ganged up on and led by a stuck up snooty brat. This is why I don't admire many of the others either as they appear to have no backbone and instead are like sheep, or pigs being led to a slaughter, if the last two weeks are to go by.

I've never admired the ganging up and sheep mentality. And if any of my faves follow suit with Katie, then I can safely say, they will fast be relegated to the bottom of the league.

There is issue with Adam in the house around a range of issues including 'class' but Sir Alan is making the decisions as to who goes not the other contestants. If he thinks the others are bullying him he is more likely to take the bully out. He is nothing but straightforward. He gets feedback on exactly what has happened in the task - in fact a lot more than we actually see in a 20/25 min edit of a task over a couple of days.

Lets actually look at these contestants in terms of the job of an apprentice & realistically assess their abilities. Thank goodness Sir Alan is making the final decision otherwise it would be yet another underdog winning which seems to be the norm for reality tv shows of late if left to GBP.

If Adam ends up in the boardroom next week i believe he will be gone. I get the impression he is one bad report away from the sack.

Yes, they hero worship mediocre or even dire men, and demonise women for silly or substantial reasons.

Comments here show that many people treat it more as a popularity and personality contest than anything to do with business ability or performance.

I think some people on the show are themselves treating it like a RTV show (like BB). Katie for example is setting herself up as a caricature....is she not?

How can anyone be so stupid as to say the things that she has said about other contestants, unless they want to be noticed by the public?

Katie knows exactly what she is doing. She is insincere...saying one thing and then another about herself.

The public are not buying her. They may love the panto...but in the end, they are not buying HER.

Adam is coming across as sincere, week by week. That is why the public are buying into him. He is only trying to survive amongs sharks like Katie...and he is coming across as genuine, whereas Katie is not to be trusted.

Let's hope what you say about SA is true, and if so, he will take out the most influential, attention-seeking bully of all -
