Swanning around with Katie trying to flog the sausages was embarassing.

The scene in the Kebab shop was like something out of Fawlty Towers.
I have to admit that the kebab shop thin made me almost gasp in disbelief. Who can there be left now that doesn't know what "halal" means? For goodness sake! Even I know that and I'm a call-centre operative! And this is a guy whom I'm guessing from his accent had the best education his parents' money could buy, has beeni in the army (presumably travelled?) and he still doesn't know that???

And our cosmopolitan French speaker oh-so-sophisticated Katie? Completely clueless. Absolultely and completely out of touch with the real world. No wonder she was so good at talking to the artists. Mind you, I can talk to artist (as long I as I don't tell them I was ever a scientist for a living), but I can still add up and spot the obviously from more than a foot away

I am an artist and as far as I'm concerned Katie is a patronising A*sehole. All that waffle about "take us into your world" would annoy the hell out of me.....

Don't do yourself down - there's nothing wrong with working in a call centre! (In fact British call centres are great - I wish there were more of them, lol!)

We should stop talking about this eejit now, and deny him the oxygen of publicity, and let him slide off quietly into a future of permanent unemployment.

And I bet he behaved like a real colonial a*sehole (my OH works on projects in the Middle East and the place is full of them - perfectly normal blokes seem to turn overnight into arrogant relics of the British Empire, bawling at the customer and refusing to learn the language - while more enlightened souls cringe in a corner and try to mop up the damage - no wonder they despise us!).

(As has been said in other threads, Paul was in Human Resources - my favourite quote in these threads was when someone said that they must have been crapping themselves in Basra when they saw him coming with his appraisal forms! )

I know!! It quite clearly said 'Halal' on the window - you would have thought that would have been a clue for them!

And Katie has the audacity to say that Paul was the only one with any brains in the house Meanwhile, Adam and Kristina are actually achieving something back on the stall, and yet they get dragged back into the boardroom

Katie and Paul deserve each other. All we need now is to get the gruesome Katie off the show (even though her audacity is entertaining). IMO Paul really showed himself up on Your Fired. All the other candidates have come across very well (even Rory) but I actually ended up disliking him more.

Yes, he will be taking with him the Best of British industry i.e. a fleet of Reliant Robins and a million £s of products bought from the 'Innovations' catalogue he got with the Sunday Times this week. And to oversee the whole thing... the Chuckle Brothers.

Go Paul!

On a more serious note, if Paul made poor decisions like that on the battlefield, people would have lost their lives, and idiot would probably havr had the same attitude afterwards e.g. "I stand by my decisions... we could have won big but instead we lost big... We took a gamble... My team let me down.."

Ugh. Useless moron.

Sorry babe, didn't mean to patronise artists in general, but as one you will know the type I mean

See, what I still dont get is why he choose Kristina to go in.

Now, he was never going to take Katie in, and we can all accept that..

But surely, he would have been full aware of how much she wanted to annialate him.

Ghazal would have been a far more suitable option..

Who do you think will make it to the final?
I would, excusing myself, choose to hire Naomi and Simon. The rest of them are big characters but would you really want them working with you?

^^ This is from the BBC site. He would employ Simon or Naomi and he has worked in HR? I can believe he would want the invisible one or a wind-up merchant, he has such fine judgement.

Arrogance, pure and simple.

Ghazal was low profile on the edit, what did she do, right or wrong?

He seemed totally mortified didn't he. As Siralan said, in the army he would be surrounded by people not telling him he was wrong.
He was only a Lieutenant, hardly the higher echelons of the army. It's fairly obvious now why he left the army at 26, as his superiors must have become entirely infuriated with him and his ridiculously arrogant demeanor.

Isn't Lieutenant the lowest grade for Sandhurst grads? He never got higher, so accountability must be kicking in with today's army. Arrogance is allowed if backed up by performance.

He looks and acts like a slime, those shifty eyes. James Bond he aint.

Yes, but on graduation, are they not immediately Lieutenants?

Literal translation
- lieu = in place of
- tenant = holder of.. (from french tener to have)

i.e. a nothing post, a sort of deputy, a holding place for idiots while they grow up, the forces and their traditions are interesting if you observe management practice.

Watching Paul on you're fired last week I remember him saying that he had met Katie a few times since he left the program.

As far as I know the winner is revealed in real time i.e. not pre recorded. If that is true then Katie must no longer be in the program because she wouldn't be able to meet Paul if she was. Therefore she hasn't won.

Complete and utter, snob, back-stabber and waste of space. In fact, he is Katie's perfect partner.
Could you imagine what their children would be like??

His task was the worst managed ever in the whole three series so far.

Silly chinless wonder!
It was on par with Lindsays arrogance (semafore girl) from series 1, but exceeded in terms of utter crap product placement, cooking utensils and inter racial harmony.

Eeejit

I'm not certain but I think the last two contestants work for Alan for 6 months before he decides who has been hired so I think she could've done that. I really don't think she will be in the last 2 though - that's two weeks in a row Alan has wanted to fire Katie!

This has been discussed in another thread (just in case they didn't take precautions when they were "at it in the attic"!), the general consensus of opinion was - something fairly grotesque (but worryingly upwardly mobile).

I doubt the final 2 are kept in purdah for six months.
