I still don't understand how Katie sleeping with Paul or Paul sleeping with Katie would help either of them to the top. Neither of them have any power to make each other winners. In fact as we've seen, it was a very bad move for both of them. It gave Adam and Kristina extra ammunition on top of Paul's idiocy, to finish him off in front of Sir Alan.

The way he carried out the task was so bad that he didn't need the additional relationship reason to complicate things. The buying of the cheese blocks was directly contrary to SA's instructions to take specialist foods to France.

His relationship also affected decisions he took and how the team worked, so SA wouldn't have liked that either.
It's almost as bad in his eyes, probably, though he already had enough ammo to fire him anyway.

From what we saw, Katie kept silent and let Kristina do the talking and protesting. That must have been because of the group dynamics rather than because it was a good idea to buy cash and carry mild cheddar, of all things. As they were given instructions to take produce from specialist suppliers (although I don't recall whether we were shown that), Katie must have known that too, as did Kristina.

The French food displays looked so beautiful and mouthwatering I am surprised the Apprentices were able to sell anything at all of that cheese.

Exactly - why would Sir A want to take on someone who contravenes his instructions and thinks he knows better?! (Not very good apprentice material!)

I'm not so sure. While I think Katie does have good ability, I also think we are seeing the real her, the same way we are seeing the real Tre. However, if you go to Youtube and type in UK Apprentice 3, you will see two remarkable unaired clips of Adam actually being jovial and Jadine actually being sensible. The production crew have decided how they want people to come across, but only in Tre and Katie's case do I think they needed no help. Personally I can't wait for Adam, Katie, Tre and Jadine to be interviewed on YF.

Katie is able and as someone else said, in real, non-camera life, she would be able to get quite far because her thoughts would go unheard. I disagree about the lack of intelligence. She is probably the most politically intelligent person in the house and I'm sure the others will be shocked to hear her remarks. But as per the snobbery and arrogance, you'll get no dispute here. As someone much wiser than me once said "no matter how intelligent you are, arrogance will knock points clean off your IQ".

Re Katie and her intelligence...I think she's a predator. She preys on other people's strengths and uses them for her own gain.

Having the priveledge of a good education has done nothing of any importance for her. My guess that others on the team given the same chance would have done better. Much better. And it's on this stand that I'm aiming a like for like scenario where Katie is concerned (as I did with Paul)...and she really does not have much upstairs other than her snobbish background and a certain amount of privedged education that others were not privy too.

The fact that she uses all of it in such a negative way for self-elevation, is a big no no. She is a disgrace and would be as a boss or a fellow team mate. She has to go.

As did everyone except Kristina. Ghazal was in favour of the cheese, and Adam says "Perfect" when told about the burner. They all said Paul was a good PM when Sir Alan asked in the boardroom. None of them backed Kristina up, at least not until they knew they'd lost.

People are singling out Katie here because they don't like her, not because she's especially to blame.

She didn't exactly bring her own intelligence and intellect into the equation when they walked into that Kebab shop, did she?

We also didn't hear if she managed to bring any sales around on her own (again that could be down to editing).

Like I have said before...this show could be so of the mark on so many things that are down to editing. And on this occasion for example, she could very well have sold whatever it was for both her and Paul being on that mission together.

However, if so, it wasn't shown. So you have to ask why?

I can only assume it was nothing to report about...and the editing decided instead to show the 'relationship' between the two as seemingly more important to 'them' than the selling. The fact that they buggered off and left the others..said it all to the audience. And the fact that she said what she said about her own team members?

You can't get much better than that for an insight of a sabatouer of their own team and a person who is definitely NOT a team player IMO.

I don't see that as a big deal. So she missed the sign. It wasted about 2 minutes. Hardly a major error. At least she could laugh about it.


Well, quite. You assume what you want to assume. If you don't like them you assume they made mistakes. I know enough of what happens behind the scenes of this show not to trust the editing. They also didn't show Adam doing well selling chutney; lots of positive things got left out. I think Paul's and Katie's "romance" was considered better TV and included irrespective of whether it was important to the task.


Candidates are expected and required to critically assess their colleagues. She has a colourful style of speaking and doesn't pull her punches. What team people are on hardly signifies for the pieces to camera because they are all competing for the one job. As Sir Alan repeatedly has to remind the others. He wouldn't have to remind Katie.


I don't think she has ever deliberately sabotaged her own team. As far as I can tell, she did what her PM told her to the best of her ability. The PM said he wanted the best French speaker selling to shops. That's reasonable. For all we know she might have pointed out that one of them should stay with the stall; such a comment could be cut from the edit because it didn't fit the story the producers wanted to tell.

Well, she took the gloves off in the boardroom this week. No pretence there. Adam had brought up her relationship with Paul last week, and again this week, so she felt justified in getting personal back.
