Steve Brookstein now only support act
I am led to believe he is supporting the \"famous\" Eileen Hunter Quartet at that \"mega\" venue the 606 club in Chelsea. It only holds a hanful of people
![]() Also going back to what he did in the beginning by doing a Northern Soul gig with the Four Vandals See here http://www.northernsoul.co.uk/ns/book_store/ This is why people should not vote for X Factor acts, someone who was a so called star a couple of years ago is now right back down where he started. Will Shayne Ward and others follow? Is it right of us to build them up to see it all come to this? Last edited by KTS1630 : 03-05-2007 at 18:54. |

I didn't build him up so have nothing to feel bad about.
The people i voted for have all paid off so far: G4 - Ok, they are splitting up but have had 3 really sucessful albums and tours. Brenda - In Chicago for ages and i've heard may be releasing an album. MacDonalds - They have an album but not sure where they will go next. Leona - I have a good feeling about her

I didn't follow XF1 at all is there any reason why Steve won and now seems quite unpopular with a lot of people?

I don't think these shows are any good and only a few acts have done well from them. Girls Aloud and Will Young are the main ones...

That is not true as he was never in the bottom two and was way ahead every week hence Sharon\'s outburst. But his demise has been so quick it is embarrassing. Irrespective if Eileen Hunter is his wife or not shouldn\'t she be the supporting act to him and not vice-versa |

I have listened to Steve's voice, and yes it's an average voice. There's nothing anyone can do about it, it just is. |

It wasn't long after he'd won that after a few months of not hearing from Simon Cowell, (after Steve refused to do covers), that was when Steve started getting verbally abusive towards Sharon and the Xfactor show itself. People began to troll his site, he was really nasty towards them too. Not wishing to go into too much detail. However, good people tried to warn him against posting abuse, but it didn't stop him. So much so, he's where he is today. That's my side of the story and I'm sticking to it.

Sharon slagging him off wasnt the only reason for this happening. If you remember he was odds on fave to win since about live show 2 or 3. It would have happened anyway IMO.

I know you don`t like him as a person, but I always thought you liked his voice?Anyhoo, to be fair, I think he would have won X-Factor even without Sharon`s totally unfair intervention. Steve seems to have made a decent living as a singer prior to X-Factor, and I`m sure he`ll continue to make a living now. His voice and style is more suited to smaller venues IMHO. Don`t like the guy, but I wouldn`t wish failure or bad luck on anyone. Good luck to him.

[quote=geraniums]I`m a bit puzzled - I thought you liked Steve`s voice? You started a thread with a link to some vocals by him IIRC?
She did till she was chucked off his site |

How many average voice singers are there in this world? Far too many. It would take a lovely personality with an average voice for me to oversee everything and enjoy any song from that person (Artist). Sorry to cause you confusion. Hope that helps.
