I dont know if anyone else is watching it at the moment. Its at the point where Chrissie has just arrived and Janine and Laura have just had a fight in Pat's flat. For some reason i was expecting Laura to fall down the stairs and meet her demise in todays episode. Can anyone remind me this actually happens?
I personally think that this was the best time in Eastenders, for storylines and characters. Anyone agree?

i was expecting her to fall too, but i think she falls later and Pat frames Janine for it as she left a receipt behind proving she had been there or something.

and Chrissie has arrived - a woo hoo!!

The show wasn't at it's best i thought. It had some good storylines but the characters weren't interact and it didn't feel real. It was just too storyline focused rather than character focused. Still Chrissie has arrived so things should start looking up

Yes, yes, me! I'm watching it! Glad someone else is!!

I remember it I think. In tomorrow's ep Pat leaves, Laura falls down the stairs, running after Pat to give her her keys she forgot or something. Laura dies from the fall. The police find the receipt Janine dropped today and forensics make it clear they've been fighting, so she's obviously questioned for murder. Pat is Janine's only alibi cos she saw Janine leave and Laura was fine, but claims she saw nothing, or saw Janine leave her flat, thus framing Janine for murder (because she got away with killing Barry).

I also think that this is literally the best point of EE ever. I've said that a couple of times on the forum and don't think a lot of people agree!! I only just got UK Gold a month ago so I unfortunately missed the whole Dennis meeting Sharon (I never saw that period of EE for some reason) but there's loads of good stuff coming up at the moment. I love the whole Sharon / Mini Den / Zoe / Dirty Den / Chrissie love pentagon thing. I love all those characters, plus Kat and Alfie and Sam and Andy.

I've actually started taping it if I'm not in to see it, thats how into it I am at the moment (I would NEVER do that with real time EE!).

It's funny when Pat opens the front door and can't get in because Laura's body is blocking the door from opening. Yet when she opens the door, Laura is up a few steps leaving a clear space

Janine was a fantastic character and actress. Her final episode was Eastenders at its best.

I was thinking that this morning actually. Janine was a super soap bitch, NO ONE can compare. Those facial expressions, that voice, the fact that she really was rotten through and through! Sigh. I miss her.

Sorry to disapoint you babe, but its not on now until Tuesday!! Its because Monday is a bank holiday, and they never show Eastenders on UKTV Gold on bank holidays.

I noticed there are episodes on Sat/Sun at like 3 in the morning... Are they showing it from a different period? I saw an ep with Grant and Tiff in a few months ago, but the one the next day was in line with the ones they show early morning and I haven't seen anything else from that era..?? CONFUSED!

UKTV Gold is a f**king disgrace, There WAS an EE episode on yesterday at 6.05am and it was a pretty important one, the one when Laura Beale fell down the stairs and died. On Tuesday's episode which is today, It is just the following episode so many folk have missed an all time EE exit.

Gold used to show a regular schedule on Bank Holidays. It's about time that was shown again rather than boring repeats of Carry On films or so.

Episodes from mid 2004 can hardly be considered classic.

Classic is something like 1985-1998, really old episodes.

The ones they are showing now are too recent. UKTV Gold has really gone to the dogs.

Not for me... I only got into EE about 6 years ago!! I think I watched the odd ep before then, but for me it's the 2003-5 years that I love the most!!!

The Ferraris are still rubbish though 4 years on. It's even duller because you know they never got better or redeemed themselves. Though Ronnie did go out with Kelly in real life, so he did alright I guess.!

But Andy is a MUCH more convincing gangster than I used to find him. I'm already looking forward to his death scene though when Johnny Allen murdered him - now that's how you introduce a character!!!
