Why do Lee fans think everyone is attacking him?

Are fans of others allowed opinions? Not according to Lee fans they're not.

If the post is nothing but praise they don't want to hear it!!!

Whats next, censor this forum? only as long a Lee fan does it.

Dunno about it just being Lee fans tbh. I think this forum is getting a little tense these days. It is becoming a bit of a bitchfest with a lot of people slating Lee and Daniels fans because its becoming a bit obvious that the others are "also rans", ( *sings* Does not make us Lee/Dan fans)

If they weren't before, they might be after this thread

But anyway, surely this is a bit of a gross generalisation. Sure there are some paranoid/overly defensive Lee fans, but that is true of fans of all the Josephs. I only think Lee's fan are more obvious as there seem to be more active Lee fans on this board, compared to fans of the other Josephs.

I'm a fan of Lee's (as well as some of the others) and I'm pretty sure (at least I hope) that I don't fall into any of those categories. I'm not going to pretend that some people don't get really defensive if someone criticises Lee, but I think it's unfair to suggest all Lee fans are like this or that it does not exist amongst other fans as well.

Anyway, sorry for the essay. I wasn't sure if the OP was meant to be tongue-in-cheek or meant to be an actual commentary on Lee fans. I treated it as the latter. Anyway, surely we're hear to discuss the show (and contrary to popular belief, even though I'm a Lee fan, I am still interesting in hearing the opinions of those who dislike him) rather than the fans.

Stroke of genius Chris612! Now why didn't I think of it sooner. Why not go the whole hog and ban all of the other Josephs' fans from posting? Why should they get a look in?

Of course people can attack Lee if they want. They can carry on if it makes them happy. Some people respect that ALL the Joseph's have worked damned hard to get to this show and don't need to 'attack' anyone. I don't. Matter of choice isn't it and as a Lee & Craig fan I don't get offended. Blimey as a Craig fan I coud be, but each to their own

Lee's got my vote, that's all that matters to me

I started off appreciating both of them but the attitude of many (not all) of Lee's fans have turned me against him.

My votes went to two guys in the first week but since then have gone to one man and one man only.

I love Lee and Daniel and I am not paranoid - total nonsense - where did that come from? Each to their own - some like some others like others - it's not rocket science - jeez.

EDIT: I'd cite a similar case...... only it's a few of Daniel's fans who're really getting on my wick and their childish manipulations of these forums have developed a similar dislike of Daniel in me.

I never get that mentality - why can't we fully appreciate the person we rate without this backlash? I wouldn't slate Chris fans - even though he is not my thing - so why should I get slated for rating Lee?

They're obviously just running scared of Lee's popularity

As well as the largest "appreciation" thread and leading the poll with half of the vote on DS, he also has a huge amount of support from fans on the BBC website as well.

Lee deserves to win, he is professional, has talent, is convincing, draws you in (which I think is what it is all about) and he is sexy. However if he didn't win and someone I didn't rate did - I would still say well done to them. If I was a psychologist - I would say it was down to insecurity - but that is getting in too deep

So, a number of fans on a forum can put you off someone? Strange that you are so easily swayed for one with such strong opinions.......

C'mon what do you mean - how could you be put off by us? All of us Lee fans are delightful.....just like all the Daniel ones.

Can we hold out an olive branch to you and we shall smoke a peace pipe together?

We're not paranoid, i mean paranoid would be like coming on this forum every few hours to check all the threads involving lee (i.e. nearly all of them!) and reading everything on the internet and every magazine or listen to every radio broadcast just to see a pciture of him and hear his voice!

I mean no-one would really do that!

erm, is this all getting a bit out of hand? i thought this was a bit of fun? i aint paranoid, i know i like lee but dont expect everyone else to, and the british public will vote for whoever they think?! is anyone really moved by what goes on in these forums? for me it's how they perform!
