Corrie ~ Friday May 4th
Friday 4 May 7.30 - 8pm ITV1
Deirdre's (Anne Kirkbride) lost without Ken (William Roache) and as he wakes at a B&B it's unclear what his next move will be until he arrives at a smart hairdressers where he finds Denise (Denise Black). Shocked to see him Denise ushers him into the back. As he tries to make pleasantries Denise tells him to cut to the chase. She's stunned as Ken explains he wants to meet his son Daniel. After more than a decade of silence how will Denise react? Liam's (Rob James-Collier) pleased when Leanne (Jane Danson) agrees to go for a drink with him, giving him a much needed break from the stresses of his family. As they flirt it's clear the spark's still there but as Liam contemplates his next move Leanne gets a text from work and makes her excuses. As she leaves, Janice (Vicky Entwistle) follows her not missing the opportunity to remind Leanne she can't have it both ways - it's either Liam or the job. Is Leanne's heart beginning to win out? Mel (Emma Edmondson) won't budge when Darryl (Jonathan Dixon) begs her to take some speeding points on her driving licence for him. Surprised by her refusal Jodie (Samantha Seager) digs a little deeper until Mel reveals she can't do it as she's applied to join the police. Jodie encourages her to tell the rest of the family but how will the Mortons react to Mel's career choice? And Paul's (Sean Gallagher) back on the street but he's still not prepared to sort things out with Carla (Alison King), prefering to turn to drink and Liam's sofa. This episode is written by Stephen Bennett, produced by Steve Frost and directed by Tim O'Mara. Most of Tonight's Episode (page 2 onwards) Discuss here!

My god, the portrayals of Jerry and Paul are giving us intensely annoying characters who between them have virtually no consideration for anyone else's concerns.
Let's kill them both off ASAP. |

For a hair dresser, Denise has terrible hair.

Why has Ken never seen him? I thought he did but it was never put in the story lines. It's not like Denise stopped him or he is that kind of bloke.
Seems out of step with the Ken we know, and quite strange espesially after he let the other kids down. Last edited by spoty : 04-05-2007 at 19:54. |

So where exactly does Denise live if Ken can pop back for clothes in what seemed like such a short space of time

Blanche has changed her tune - it was her who was encouraging Ken to go after the row with Deirdre no-tears.

Denise said she moved back to W'field after Brian left her - think they were supposed to live in the South so Ken would have had a lot of trouble seeing Daniel (especially when a day out in Cheshire or the Peak District is such an adventure!!).
