lcd lamps

how many hours are the lamps suppost to last, i have a 23" samsung

and can you change them yourself or send them off to the manufacturer?

There's no set life.

They're not replacable/consumable items.

They generally last a similar amount of time to a CRT.

so a good 10 years then or 30000 hours or so?

Depends on usage, my first LCD lasted under 200 hours before breaking.
