Is it just me or was the mission this week absoloutly hysterical?

When they were all laughing at Chris when he was out of breath i just couldn't stop laughing!

What did everyone else think?

Loved the view of Lee's ar*s as he scaled the barricade and he certainly wasn't out of breath at the top!

It showed some of the younger guys particularly are lacking in stamina.

But it was only two of them that actually managed it and they were both young and that was Ben and Chris (I think!) I would have thought Rob the builder would have been good at that

Did anyone here what JOJ say about Lees performance of Do you hear the People sing while on top of the barrier, I am sure it was something like he could not take his eyes off of him, I really must check my recording.

I was really surprised at how unfit they were. Just shows that they need to get in training in more ways than just vocally.

Was that the guy who was commenting? He said 'I'm knack**ed just watching him!'. I took that to mean Lee was OK. I thought his singing whilst waving that flag after scaling the barricade was pretty good.

the only ones who didn't seem out of breath were craig, ben and i think lee! I know there's not a scene like that in joseph but still they need to have some fitness!

Agree completely!

It seemed such a contrast to the Marias army assault course.

"OK, lads, now you just scoot up there, wave a flag & sing a song..."

Connie would have wiped the floor with the lot of them, and if she didn't, she'd WANNA DO IT AGAIN!!!

(Sorry, joking, it looked hard work really but at least the girls got a bit muddy...)

That's all true, but they didn't have to sing immediately after finishing their assault course!

I thought it meant he hadn't done that well. When he said at the end that only 2 people could be leading men I'm sure he meant Ben and Craig, as they'd just got praise for their efforts.

Yes, it was Craig who got it right, yet again! He just gets up there and gets on with it in a professional manner. Why does nobody give him any credit, it's like he is the invisible man in this competition!

He was in fact one of only three who got the loincloth test right the previous week, though only four were shown, and they got it wrong and started blubbing! It must have given ALW the vapours and made him wish he was somewhere else!

Don't you think that was what you were meant to think, as Lee certainly had no problem after scaling the barricade in singing, It seemed to be that it was knock Lee week this week, so everyimage was led us to believe Lee is no better than the rest.

Well his singing at the top of the barricade wasn't all that good, mind. But I know what you mean about the editing.

I didn't think Lee was that good on the barricade mission, it was Ben and Craig that took the laurels, in fact if Lee had not been able to sign last night, many here would have said how good he was?

Lee wasn't half as bad as Chris, Lewis, Keith etc. and besides we only saw about 3 seconds of lee singing and couldn't really tell if he was out of breath!

That's the one bad thing about these missions: WE DON'T SEE MUCH OF LEE!

Unfortunately it was enough to tell that he was quite badly out of tune, which is unusual for him.

Craig wasn't even out of breath. God I love a man with stamina !!

Ben surprised them didn't he lol. Well done guys. Why didn't they get a cheer for winning from the tv studio? Meanies. They had to sweat and exert massive amounts of manpower to win that task <sigh> A little ripple of applause would have been nice Graham.

I couldn't believe that they were out of breath just by climbing that barracade once. They must have made them do it lots of times.

NB. Julie Andrews climbed mountains before she sang and she wasn't out of breath

Agreed. They both did really well, and surprised me. Maybe the audience were just in shock?

Couldn't believe Craig. He just sounded like he'd been for a light stroll!

If I heard them correctly they said that in the show they have to climb all over the barricade during the battle scene and then sing 'The People's Song'.

No they don't!

'The People's Song' is in Act 1 (with a reprise right at the end of Act 2, WAY after the barricade stuff is over) and the barricade is in Act 2!

Yes Enjolras has to wave the flag whilst at the top of the barricade, but he doesn't sing that. All he sings is "Let others rise to take our place, Until the earth is free!", then the finale battle starts, at the end of which Enjolras grabs the flag and waves it before being shot. It's gruelling, but you certainly don't have to sing a full song which is what they implied.

I've no experience of the barricade myself, but I will tell you that that bloody revolve is a nightmare to work on!

TBH I thought Chris B took it a little seriously - "It's hard to do when there's seven other boys laughing at you". No doubt it is, but the others didn't complain. Bless him. Still, maybe it was just taken out of context.

Great great mission - and I'm not even a big fan of Les Mis!

Is it on Youtube at all? I've had a look, but I can't find it.
