Also Thin Lizzy 1977 at Edinburgh Odeon in Clerk Street, I won a competition to win tickets for this one. One memory of this was looking at the time on the clock in the Odeon and realising I was going to miss the last train back home I thought sod it and stayed for the end of the concert. ended up sleeping in the night porters office at Waverley station until the first train back homein the morning.

Been to many other excellent gigs but with what happened at and around the timeof these gigs probaby makes them stand out more.”

I too was at that Bryan Adams show at Celtic Park in Glasgow in July 1992. I'd always liked Squeeze but seeing them live that Saturday afternoon for the first time turned me in to a mega fan. Have since seen Squeeze many times live and Glenn Tilbrook live as well and they never disappoint and are always wonderful.

Best concert I have ever seen was Squeeze on Thursday 23rd September 1993 at the Capitol Theatre in Aberdeen. Having seen them live for the first time the year before sporting Bryan Adams at Celtic Park Glasgow this was my first full show and the first time seeing Chris Difford live. Paul Carack was on the keys and he was great They were on top form as always that night and they had just released their Some fantastic place CD. The atmosphere was great. I remember at the end they came back on to sing Goodbye girl and Glenn told the audience that he had just heard that Manchester had got the Commonwealth games. Instead of cheers it fell on deaf ears as this was in Scotland lol.

My second best concert was Glenn Tilbrook at the Lemon Tree in Aberdeen 22nd November 2011. Now every time I have seen him at this really tiny venue he has been wonderful. But this time stands out because I actually met him at the bar and gave him a hug. Now in all my years of seeing him at this venue I always had to leave before getting him to sign a CD and thank him for a wonderful show at the end. But this time I got to do this and met him at the bar. He was so lovely and didn't mind me hugging him he just let me have my moment. He has such an amazing voice that just gets better and better with age. And with just a couple of guitars puts on an amazing show. He really is one of the best.

My most favorite took place on January 31, 2011 when I got to see my most favorite singer James Otto for the second time. I love how it was just him and two other guitar players helping him out. Sometimes a person doesn't need all of the bells and whistles to back them up.

God bless you and James and his band help always!!!

Holly

P.S. Plus, just before I went home that night one last picture of us together was taken and when the flash went off, I heard James say something to me that I never once expected to hear from anyone that night. James said "I love you!" to me! I just pray that what I said in return was heard because the loud music that was going out over the sound system where his show was could have drowned out my soft spoken voice. I said in return "I love you too!"

Kate Bush - Before The Dawn.

I went on the 3rd of September (2014). It was an artistic triumph. The greatest night of my life. No concert/gig will ever top it (unless David Bowie does a live show).

For someone who hasn't done a major live show in 35 years she was loaded with confidence and completely owned the stage. Everything was perfect the lighting, the sound, the special effects and of course the songs she performed.

Got to be Pulp in Hyde Park in summer 2011.

Many many reasons - an act I never thought I'd see live as they'd split up years earlier (but reformed that year), perfect company, perfect crowd, perfect weather as the sun set, Jarvis being both brilliant and at points hilarious, and just supremely magical in every way. Every time I hear any Pulp song played since, I'm back in that field.

And when they ended with 'Common People', just...wow.

I saw her on 26th September, the "late" one!!

I find it very different to catagorise and list, though, as different bands are memorable in different ways to me.

Anathema's acoustic show at Gloucester Cathedral in June 2015, for example was simply unique and everyone I know who went said it was amazing, even the band said as much but that can't be directly compared to Kate's show because they were completely different.

With that in mind, and in no order for the reason I gave...

Anathema - Gloucester Cathedral (Acoustic) June 2015
Kate Bush - Hammersmith Apollo September 2015
Tool - Brixton Academy August 2007
Nightwish - Birmingham Academy February 2005
AC/DC - Bristol Colston Hall October 1980
Rammstein - Sonisphere July 2010
Within Temptation - Elements Antwerp November 2012
Pink Floyd - Wembley 1988
