what causes this picture problem?

Hi

I have a panny 37" telly hooked up to sky+. On a few programmes especially House on 5 there is a picture problem. In the background, you can see a darkening shadow which has a snaking effect. Is this down to my scart cables? Generally, the picture is100% better than my previous telly, but this is bugging me.

I am upgrading to SkyHD as soon as the price becomes more reasonable.

Any suggestions?

A few;

1) Try switching between RGB & PAL on Sky+
2) Check with a different SCART cable
3) Try using a different SCART input socket

Is this problem with every programme of just a few? You could also try your TV's settings too....if this is a new TV, then you may simply be noticing the inferior quality of SD images on a non-CRT TV...but the way you've described the picture, it sounds like something else?
