I'd say it's unlikely. They have a huge fan base, and as a couple they've achieved the most success on the show. I don't think it would make sense to get rid of them, although the BBC has made other questionable choices for the show in the past.

Although they haven't confirmed they're doing it, I certainly got the impression from the snooker clip that they still see it as part of their schedule.

I think they are way too popular not to be in the next series - it wouldn't be the same without them

I'm torn because I really do want all the series four pros to come back, but I also think it would be nice to go down to twelve or even ten contestants.

I agree - there were too many in the last series

I don't think there is much chance that they will reduce the number of couples this year, I just hope they don't try to go up to sixteen

If they want it to last twelve weeks again, I'd prefer them to have twelve couples and start the competition with two "free" weeks where no-one gets eliminated. That way no-one's favourite pro leaves after only one show, and all the contestants try ballroom and latin. That won't happen though, and it would still leave the problem of which two pros to get rid of.

I pray they drop the awful 'dance-off', it was horrendous
to watch, never mind be involved in

I think James and Ola will come back- they both got people talking, which is good for ratings. Hopefully they will both have more chance to prove themselves this year.

I agree about the dance-off, I hope they don't have any gimmicks like that this year.

I hope you are right Katie - I agree the dance-off seemed out of place - abit too X Factor for my liking

Absolutely; cracking suggestion, here. Everyone involved spends weeks in training for this. I know they probably get paid very well for it, but it's a real bummer to leave in the first show, based on one dance.

though we do get to see them dance throughout the series - am thinking of James and Ola dancing to the Sugarbabes

I'd like to see the return of filming the celebs in their own
habitat. I really missed that element this year.

I'm not a particular fan of James and Ola's dancing, but I agree they bring something to the show. Not least, James's jostlings with Brendan to grab the bad boy tag

Also, I'd love Spoony continue his roving reporter behind the scenes role.

what do you mean about filming celebs in their own habitat?

Remember they filmed Goughie and Lilia visiting his local pub
and meeting his family and friends.
Aled and Lilia were filmed at his concerts etc.
James and Camilla in his kitchen. Its just nice to see a different backdrop now and then, instead of all the puffing and panting in the studio

maybe they felt it would be abit intrusive - tho members of their families did come to the dance studios which was nice to see

I think 14 was far too many , it made the series too long .Not that I didn't enjoy all of it , but I recall Mark and Karen on BBC breakfast at the start of January , Mark looking exhausted , and he said that tiowards eth end it became an endurance contest ;who could last the longest .
If someone as physically firt as he and Matt were found it exhausting , then it must be too much for those not at the peak of physical fitness .
12 is quite sufficient as far as I am concerned . The increased number also lead to the ludicrous situation of there being no winners ITT ,which was a huge shame ,.I feel it was all to do with ratings and beating the X Factor.

I assume much depends on comepetitions and other commitments as to whether some pros return . Some , of course , rely for some of their work now on SCD fame for instance Brendan and Anton and I also think the public expect to see those two , Anton for the whole jokey attitude etc and Brendan for the shock factor .I would consider not NOT having Brendan back , he is a prima donna and I don't think he has really taken the last 3 series very seriously . He throws his toys out of his pram if things don't go his way
Having said that , if he does get the right partner he would be wonderful again .And I do love watching him and Karen dance , she seems to have him tamed , yet even their family connection didn't let him say one word of encouragement to Mark .

What about Brendan as a Judge ! I'd like to see that .

I also didn't enjoy watching Darren this year , I felt he was a bit starstruck .
As to who gets which partner , isn't it all to do with height and matching bounce etc ? So the shortest man will go to Lilia ( even Matt was a bit too tall ) and the tallest ones to Camilla and Erin . Similarly Ian is bound to get the tallest lady .

I have a feeling the one reason for Lilia not doing the show would be if she was pregnant ,similarly for Karen , who was asked to do Show 2 and couldn't because she was pregnant . Just a thought .

If Brendan doesn't do it, and those are the people that take part I can safely say I won't be watching it this year!

PS Anyone else recall Arlene saying Ola had the perfect dancer's body and was wonderful but the dancing was all about her and the audience watched her and not her partner .

I also think there is another side to James and with a more willing partner he may be very different .

Also , I really warmed to Brendan for the first time on JTTOU, and if he showed more of the attutude he did then in SCD , he would be back to the BRendan of Series 1, and as we saw him through parts of the other series .
Actually I take back the comment about not being supportive of others as he and Aled were great friends and he was incredibly supportive .

I too think there is a different side to James - good sense of humour - so I dearly hope he returns - you mentioned Brendan - whom I have to be honest I have never warmed to nothing against the lad just not my cup of tea - never gave Mark encouragement might have something to do with the fact that Mark and James got on so well - I get the impression that Brendan and James are not on each other's Christmas cards lists

I think they need to stop giving Brendan 'fiery' women, for some reason it just brings out the b*stard in him. I saw how respectful he was of Beverley Knight in JTTOU....she 's strong but not aggressive and she's hardworking...think that would bring a softer side out in him!

James needs a good partner this year, I think personally that he would have made Emma Bunton more popular as he wouldn't have been overawed by her stardom!

do you think Darren was? I always that their partnership lacked chemistry - yet Darren and Jill Halfpenny - cracking
I get the impression from what I have read and heard him say, James doesn't care who his partner is as long as they put the hard work in

Oh Darren, bless him, was totally starstruck. I think a good partnership should have fire and water. Mark and Karen worked because he, generally, had a calmer quieter nature, while she was loud and extrovert. that's not to say he didn't let the fiery side of himself come through sometimes (THUD ) but they blended so well!

Darren needs a fiery partner to get that chemistry, Lilia has that in spades you can tell, and Jill was a bubbly strong woman!

James would bring a spark to someone with a more laid back nature (but not lazy, like Georgina, thats too laid back )

Georgina's attitude puzzled me: she is an actress (I don't know if she is any good I don't watch Casualty) so she must be used to long hours of filming plus she has achieved a Law degree (which is not an easy option) so she is used to hard work - why then she didn't approach SCD professionally (eg:always turning up late etc)?

Lost in showbiz at a guess, I have read on the beeb news about something that happened after SCD that makes me think even less of her.
