Last night i went to see dancing on ice the tour at Newcastle and while i am not a big fan of dancing on ice (i only watched the final of this series) it was still the best show i have ever been to.

It set me off thinking, imagine if they did a Strictly Come Dancing tour! How amazing would that be?! i was thinking that this thread could become a sort of petition to show the people at the BBC how many people would pay good money to go and see that show!

The same thought went through my mind after I went to see Dancing on Ice Live. It was an excellent show.

At the one I went to they said that the reason they decided to do a tour was mainly due to the oversubscribed demand for tickets for the TV show. As we know it is near impossible to get tickets for SCD and they go really quickly so I am sure demand would be there for a tour. Especially if they timed it shortly after the TV competition when interest would be at its highest.

I totally agree. Loads of people would pay good money to go and see Strictly Come Dancing : The Tour. I'd go! Especially if Ian, Anton, Darren and Matthew were there.

**sighs** ah it would be a beautiful event! All the princess dresses and music and of couse all our favourite dancers and celebs the only down side is that brucie would probably have to host it

I went to the DOI tour, it was such an amazing atmosphere. They did a Dancing With The Stars tour with people from both the season (this was just after season 3). I'd love something similar for SCD.

I saw the DOI Tour twice, and it was absolutely amazing. It's a completely different experience to just watching it on your telly on a Saturday night, you were able to appreciate it so much more, and the whole atmosphere was just electrifying. For the same reasons, I would LOVE to see SCD go on tour. As people have already said, the tickets for the show go so quickly and for those who live further away from London, it can be difficult to arrange as well.

I went to see The Dancing On Ice tour in London and The Dancing With The Stars tour in Las Vegas. They were both brilliant. I would love to see a Strictly tour.

Could you describe what it was like?

I believe there will be a SCD Tour next year at the end of this series.

Wonder if it will involve all the pros as a lot of them go on holiday that time of the year.

I got the info from my dance teacher and a couple of the pros have confirmed it.

The pros are taking it in turns to dance we think, dont think all pros are on at all venues.

The tour is definate!!!!!!

Cant wait xxx

A couple of the pros, however, have said they don't want to do it...

Are the celebs doing it too?

I know for a fact that Letitia has another job lined up after Strictly/panto, but there's nothing to say what it is... it could be this?

I don't see how they're all going to have the energy for this after SCD and usually they have holidays a few months after SCD to recuperate.

I can't see the celebs doing it. They will be knackered after SCD and wil want to get back to their families and other work commitments plus lots of the pros go on holiday then anyway. Bit bad timing.

Doesn't have to be this year's celebs, though...

The DWTS tour in the US had a selection of pros and celebs from across the series, some of whom were not actually partnered together in the TV show. For example, Harry Hamlin toured with Karina Smirnoff, instead of TV partner Ashley DelGrosso.

So it's just a question of who is willing and available.

Presumably Mark and maybe Darren won't do it as I think the winter months the cricket teams go and play elsewhere, and probably alot of the actors/actresses already have commitments lined up.

I'd like to see it if there was one, I'm just a bit sceptical at the moment.

Also, the Dancing On Ice tour had a mix of celebs from both the first and second series. So I agree, it would probably be a case of who is willing and able to do it. Here's hoping...

Probably would be Chris Parker, Carol Vorderman, Quentin Wilson and Fiona Phillips!!

I'd still go, though.

TBH I'm quite surprised at the negativity about this propsed tour. The DOI Tour was a huge success.
