Today's Sun says that there will be Four Finalists this year instead of the normal two.

It's four Sugars for Sir Alan

FOUR finalists will battle to be The Apprentice instead of the usual two, TV Biz can reveal.

The quartet have all been given temporary jobs with Sir Alan Sugar — who will pick one winner in a live final next month.

Previously just two people have made it this far but Sir Alan was left with egg on his face last year after Michelle Dewberry quit just weeks after winning.

And the previous winner, Tim Campbell, has gone solo after less than two years at Amstrad.

So Sir Alan has decided to try out four to be sure of getting one who will last.

He said: “We’ve not really decided how the final will work yet.

“But there are four in the frame at the moment. I was very happy with Tim and he’s doing absolutely the right thing branching off on his own. But I wasn’t very happy with the calibre of contestants last year, to be frank with you. There’s a lot of regrets from last year — maybe turning up would be the biggest.

“I agreed to do it after a long period of debate. I’ve had more input into how the candidates are chosen, and there’s a core of very strong people this time.”

Sir Alan also admitted one of the new lines in the intro to the Beeb hit is a dig at former checkout girl Michelle.

At the beginning of each show, he is heard telling the apprentices: “Don’t tell me your humble background is like mine, because it winds me up”.

When we asked Sir Alan if the line is about Michelle and her co-star and ex-lover Syed Ahmed, he confessed: “Yeah. I think, not necessarily Syed but a lot of people say that.

“There isn’t anyone else like me. I’m a unique person.

“People who actually are humble don’t say so, ‘I came from blah, blah and did blah, blah’, doesn’t impress me.

“If they’d done it, they wouldn’t have been sitting in front of me asking for a job.”

It should be interesting to see how they work that. Surely they won't have 4 events in the final so two teams of two maybe????

How many weeks are left? And how would 4 finalists affect upcoming firings? - does it put us in line for some more multiple firings?

So if rumours are to believed and
Spoiler
are all back in their old jobs - or going to be fired soon

That leaves
Spoiler
as potential finalists.

Plus -
Spoiler

According to everyone's rumours who i have heard (which may not be true!! so dont take it literally)........

therefore that leaves 5 to chose from and

My point, exactly. Half the threads on the forum are Joe's "prediction threads"! (No offense, but nobody's really interested in your favourites-just SAS's)

Well surely it can't be everyone else who's wrong... it just seems to be filled with the same threads repeated week after week... not that this normally bothers me, but it's hard to remember where i've posted and where I haven't in here now because of all these similar threads...

If all the people who are rumoured not to make the final, DON'T make the final, then we're left with

Spoiler

so at least one rumour is false.

I've heard, based on people who they've spoken to etc, that
Spoiler
don't make the final.

And if what is said earlier about
Spoiler
then that leaves
Spoiler
as the finalists .
