Corrie: Wednesday 09th May
Wednesday 9 May 7.30 - 8pm ITV1
Blanche (Maggie Jones) informs Deirdre (Anne Kirkbride) that she has seen Ken (William Roache) at Denise's (Denise Black) and insists on her going to see him at his bed and breakfast. But she is furious to discover that Ken spent the night at Denise's. Meanwhile Ken tells Denise (Denise Black) that he wants to see more of Daniel but she tells him he needs to see Deirdre first. When they confront each other, both are in a rage and bring up their former lovers. Ken can take no more and walks out, but will he return? Carla (Alison King) invites Leanne (Jane Danson) and Liam (Rob James-Collier) to dinner as a way to apologise for Paul's behaviour. At the dinner table, Paul makes Leanne very uncomfortable by being very abrupt with her. Carla is ever supportive and suggests that the Connors and Leanne should draw their resources together, which Paul unsurprisingly doesn't support. As they leave for the evening, Paul tells Leanne not to come back. How will she react to Paul's constant negativity? Elsewhere, Claire (Julia Haworth) tells Jerry (Michael Starke) that she has rung the coucil and he has to take the shed down, to which he happily agrees, but tells Daryl (Jonathan Dixon) not to take any notice. Kirk (Andrew Whyment) is distraught when he realises his kennels could be closed after the castration of the wrong dog. This episode is written by Catherine Hayes, produced by Steve Frost and directed by Terry Dyddgen-Jones. Tonight's Episode (page 2 onwards) http://www.itv.com/page.asp?partid=163 Discuss here!

Daniel's crap. The bit when he said "that's, ERRR, 25th Decemeber, by the way!" made me absolutely cringe.

Barlow stuff wasn't as good as Monday but was still ok.
Connor stuff was average. Dayrl not hearing Claire & Gail and then saying i'll turn the music down was poor scripting and not funny at all. Who cares about Kirk castrating the wrong dog?? Boring episode imo...4/10...the worst in a while! |

Piece in tonight's local paper (Manchester Evening News) - he's been suspended for another 4 weeks for his latest escapade, on top of his 6 weeks for revealing the trial outcome, making a total of 10 weeks. He'd only just gone back

I'm sure he'll be sorely missed. Like a headache that won't go away, gotta love them.
Tonight was another *********free episode I assume that Kirkie is not insured for mishaps. If he isn't, surely the vet is Jerry Morton and people like him really really annoy me. Gail and Claire should just demand action from the council.Meanwhile in Portsmouth Peter Barlow is singing, " Daniel my brother, you are younger than me"

![]() I did find it ironic (presumably coincidental) that a few years ago the actor got a Drink Driving ban about the same time that the character did. I did notice that the character was back driving in a very short time though, and besides the fact (well I think it's a fact anyway) that he wouldn't be able to get a cab license with that on his license (it stays on for 10 years) the ban for drink driving is as far as I'm aware a minimum of 1 year. |

They won't axe Les because they need him for the big Cilla exit storyline.

The big Cilla exit, what'll that be, she actually gets cancer and it can't be cured and nobody believes her?

Below average episode tonight.
I'm getting a bit bored with Ken and Deirdre constantly sniping at each other. And Kirk's acting - even though the character is supposed to be a bit gormless - was abysmal tonight. |
