OK, I didn't know that, sorry - what a ridiculous handicap, is Sir A not in the 21st century yet? Phone and Yellow Pages, indeed!! (And as for making them use Amstrad kit - well, that was the biggest handicap of all, lol!!)

How do we know that they're doing very little?

Because they aren't shown much in the actual edits?

The editing tends to show people doing something really badly or really well. If you don't see some people feature in the edits then maybe that's because they are doing competantly well, which would make for less interesting television.

Just because somebody doesn't feature in the edits doesn't mean that they are just hanging on.
I'd hazard a guess that somebody like Jadine is doing pretty well because she isn't in the edits much.

I'd say the same would apply to Lohit and Naomi.

In Ghazals case however, I think the hanger-on description would be quite apt!

That was hilarious, but the funniest clip is Jadine in week 3 "One of the girls"

And no doubt she would be expected to do business with Northerners and their Northern 'chums'.

We don't have businesses in the north , its a well known fact we live in mud huts breeding whippets. From Birmingham to Edinburgh its just a medieval wasteland and civilization doesn't start again 'til well past the Scottish border

I was a bit frustrated with Adam in the boardroom, he had a get out clause with the Nigella seeds, because as soon as Ghazal heard the alternative name she started shrieking and squealing 'oh god i know exactly where we can get them from', she was so confident about that that Adam must have thought it was in the bag. She actually hung up on the importer before Adam even managed to get a word in.

Also he didnt pick the girls up on their refusal to go Stanstead Airport (in the Outer Hebrides) to get the seeds.

As regard to the boardroom, Kristina didnt go back on her word regarding Katie as it was Sir Alan who brought it up.

Adam panicked in the boardroom and thats why he got fired, I feel that he has been a bit unlucky really, even though he was in the final 3 4 times, 2 of them he was taken in for personal reasons and the other 2 he was the project manager. I think if Natalie had taken Katie in with her she would have been on her way then.

Having said all that he was great on 'You're Fired' he seemed totally relaxed and was able to laugh at himself. he didnt seemed scarred by the experience and I am sure he has got himself enough exposure to give himself a good start. But I was willing one of the panel to bring up all the northen bashing she really seems to hate us oop north but she isnt a really good advert for the south is she?

This frustrated me too, they were uncooperative and unhelpful purely because it was Adam who asked them.

I don't believe that their genuine reason not to go was because of the time factor - it was because they knew Adam had failed to get one of the items on his list, and that they could blame him for their team losing in the BR.

They engineered the whole task so that they could say at the end - "we did brilliantly and that northern oik let us down".

I'm not denying they got some good deals, but as Team Leader, I would have highlighted their lack of team spirit and co-operation. If they'd gone to get the seeds & got back late, they would still have won. They wanted to get him into the board room = they wanted to lose. Not good performance in a task, really!

And if Adam was going to get personal with Katie, he should have drawn SirAlan's attention to her general negativity towards him. That was damaging to the task and IMO, is unprofessional.

He didn't handle the boardroom well, but he did bring out Katie's true colours I don't think everyone was fully aware of them before. She can't hide behind a facade of chumminess now.

I love Adam but it was right in this instance that he was fired. He asked to be PM and prove himself to SAS and failed. SAS had to maintain his own integrity and fire him. Adam got too confused and distracted in the boardroom.

Ghazal however, should be worried. SAS has her card marked - she's utterly pointless and ineffectual. I dislike her more than Katie because at least with Katie there is some 'fire' in her belly. Ghazal is simply 'meh and eugh'.

Is it you who has the whippet drawn wode carts on the track between Leeds and Manchester. I must admit I admire you ingenuity I wish I'd thought of round wheels instead of these square ones my cludgie cleaning service would have been a lot easier

Unfortunately he let himself down by 1. not pairing up with Kristina in the first place 2. not reading the rules properly and realising the penalty for being late was less than the penalty for not buying an item. The thing with Ghazel on the phone to the distributors was a silly oversight by them both but you could see how it happened easily.

Not asking a distributor for a list of local retailers is more than a silly oversight if you want a top management job.

In previous series the apprentices sported a top-of-the-range mobile phone each whereas currently they're having to share

My thought all the way through the programme was they must be passing 100's of internet cafes why on earth don't they "google" it!!!

All in all a good show last night if only because it showed Katie in her true colours. I have to say, I did love Kristina's face when SAS dropped her in it.

Adam was exposed as out of his depth last night. He took team leader role to prove himself but was shown to be 'wanting' in terms of team organisation / intellectual ability to grasp the basic task / focus & direction. Lets face it he sent of Katie & Kristina because he personally can't handle them & opted to be with Ghazal because she is easy to work with. He clearly hadn't got a full grasp of the elements of the task otherwise he wouldn't have decided to not purchase one item. He wasn't leading the team - rather getting taken along with events. Team were difficult but reality is in business teams can be difficult & you do get characters like Katie. Interesting to see how some of the other 'stronger' candidates manage her in future weeks!! His pathetic attempt to escape being fired by pulling in her personal life was a last attempt of a 'sinking man'. (I don't like Katie - she is a bitch & Sir Alan won't employ her but she actually has far better business accumen than Adam & some others who are still in show).

Sir Alan had made up his mind about Adam last week in terms of potential from a business perspective to work as his apprentice. It was only a matter time when he went. As I said earlier if & when it came to interviews he would be gone for definite but it came earlier!!

Surely he could have texted AQA (Any question answered) on 63336 and said what are nigella seeds and would have got a reply back very quickly with the answer and it would only have cost £1. That's not using the internet.

Another good one is Shazam. Dial 2580 and put it next to a piece of music being played and within minutes they will text back what the song is and who it's by. Very handy way to settle arguments in pubs. It costs 50p.

So phone a public library and ask the enquiry desk - they're all over London, and they don't charge.

I think they were only allowed to use the Yellow Pages, though they could have got around it.

Well yeah - they're allowed use the yellow pages to do what, though? Look up phone numbers which might help - such as a library? Their lack of research (and Surrallan did say this was also a research task) drove me mental last night.

I am certain he does not want that sort of person working for him - to me his body language was saying he wanted to keep Adam and fire her - but unfortunately she had done well in that task and Adam was a bit weak standing up for himself and as he said in 'your're fired' he was confused which Sir Alan took as lying. I have faith that she will be rumbled soon and Sir Alan will get rid of her at the next available opp - which if Kristina has anything to do with it - will be soon.
