This series is becoming more and more like Big Brother - media hype, putting ego against ego, and somehow the big personalities keep ending up back in for another week - I mean, was it really just a coincidence that we had the full on Katie-Adam row after weeks of building up to it?! Why didn't Sir Alan put them on separate teams as he has in the past when they squabble. And how did that useless Indian female (can't be bothered to look up how to spell her name she is so useless) manage to get past the first week. I'm not sure I trust this any more...

I don't think Katie and Adam have ever squabbled before, have they? Katie's has always kept her opinions for the private camera. They had a bit of an argument in the boardroom last week, but nothing unusual.

Are you watching a different show?! She hasn't done particularly well at anything - all she's done is kept her head down and tried to stay out of the firing line, which she couldn't get away with this week. She might be gorgeous, but she's seriously lacking in drive, personality and that oomph factor that is needed to win this show.
I've worked with a few "Katies". "Katie the clone" does exist in the real world, and is just as silver tongued, backstabbing and lazy as she is on the show. She may be a bit out of place in Amstrad but she will go far in the corporate world.

Yeah, I agree. I actually wonder if she's hanging out for Margaret or Nick's role...that would be a role she would excel in, I'm sure. There's no way Sir Alan will hire her though, she sealed her fate today. The teeniest of mistakes now and I'm sure he will look to firing her.

What you need to realise is that the series was actually shot a long time ago. Th production staff have pulled 24 hour days cutting all the footage in a way they think will be most entertaining. It's not reality. It never was. It's nearly all editing. And after a slow and poor start, I'm loving it!

Yeah, she'd obviously prepared some hilarious put-down for Adam's motivational skills, but Sugar wasn't interested and cut her off. I suddenly like him more. Adam was obviously a muppet, but Sugar will be looking out for her next time, to be sure.
Perhaps she could be the next Anne Robinson? A zero-talent who puts down other people and slags off parts of the country she's probably never been to.

I don't think she's lacking in drive, I think her problem is more a lack of age and experience.
She's not terrible by any means though. Just not nearly good enough. As SAS said, I think she'd be good in a PA type role for now.

That sounds quite likely, though do we know when the inserts are filmed in relation to the filming of the show itself?
If they're filmed in one go after they leave the show this could explain how she is willing to appear quite so eye-catchingly rank and vile, if they are filmed at the end of each task then she may not be an idiot but she is foolish as how could she expect to be able to integrate into Amstrad when she had insulted so many of her potential (northern) colleagues?
Ah well, the longer she carries on the sweeter the eventual fall.

Your right, Sir Alan is just a cockney slum-to-new money lackey in Katie's eyes. Just like Adam was a northerner or anyone else that isn't of the same cultural or class as her.
People like her make me sick and make you wonder if the bigger prejudice is among the working class or the upper class. Also anyone else think Katie applied for the wrong show, she should have applied to Big Brother instead. With a wider audience and her attitude, she could ahve been a contender for most hated person in Britain.

Actually both of them get most of their competitors right - its just the way they say it and the fact they get there too quickly for the public. Adam was dim and had a ridiculous idea of his ability. The guy who went last week was a bozzo in the task but had more potential. Kristina is the main competition (though SAS will pick someone like Lohit) and shouldn't have used the private life argument. The problem is when you embellish it with wanting Adam dead under a car andimply that every northerner is thick.
Grace was the nearest thing BB7 had to an acceptable leader for everyone but Pete, Bonnie, Suzie and Ash who mostly wouldn't have been around after week 6 if things had progressed naturally. She had what the others wanted in a leader which included confidence. In the Apprentice most people actually seem to think they could do the job better with the possible exception of one or two who think Katie or Kristina are better. I can't see how Katie is objectively any different when they are nearly all too self confident for what we have seen. There hasn't been much evidence yet who is the strongest candidate as they have all made mistakes or done well when making mistakes. Ghazal has made as many right calls as anyone and I don't see how Kristina or Tre or Jadine or Simon are any less confident in abilities we have not seen or in the last three cases we already know they don't have.
Oh no it rings very true - she wants a career in tv. It's bad enough having 'at the end of the day Badger' keep appearing on TV as a so-called business expert, the thought of 'up her own backside Katie ' is too much to bear.
It is funny how Adam and Katie have been kept in the same team.

As Sir Alan said on JRoss, the show puts the candidates outside their comfort zones; when they are inside their areas of competency they are probably all very strong. The Apprentice sets them up to fail by giving them extreme time pressure, petty rule restrictions and very little sleep. For example, Paul would probably be fine selling stuff in France if he had more time to sort it out.
I also think Grace's self-confidence was justified, as demonstrated by her performance in Cirque de Celeb, but you probably know that. Currently I prefer Grace to Katie.
