Just watched You're Fired after missing it last night and a few things struck me whilst watching it... (aside from how stunning Adam is)

Adam is a VERY VERY likeable person. There were flashes of high confidence, but he never once ventured into arrogant territory, and came across extremely well.

He either has good advisors, or he really is mature beyond his years as when he was asked about the Katie comments, he replied with something along the lines of "she was childish, and i'm not going to be drawn into it" which was a brilliant response. He showed that despite her looking down at him, he was actually a much much better person, and will probably do more damage to how Katie comes across with that than if he'd answered back with other nasty comments.

He was edited pretty badly on The Apprentice, as on You're Fired he had a really good, self-deprecating sense of humour which was very endearing and quite charming.

The Apprentice will be a sadder programme without him.

**Just a quick final thought... how dare "fresh air" Ghazal say that Adam is average and mediocre, when she seems to approach every task like a nursery nurse trying to cheer her class up (no offence to nursery nurses)... she's just got no personality to her (this is where the nursery nurse comparison ends) and after hearing this i'd like her to be the next to go.**

I haven't watched it yet but a colleague did say that Adam conducted himself really well on the 'You're Fired' programme, and his attitude towards the Katie questions was very commendable

Adam deserved to be fired this week IMO. In the last 3 weeks he didn't but this week he did , he was just a defeated man. And I'm not a Katie fan before you all start jumping on me. I despise Katie.

I'm not debating whether he did or didn't deserve to be fired... just saying how I thought he came across on You're Fired.

I'm actually quite glad he went when he did if I'm honest as he came across very well, and hopefully opportunities will start to open up for him now.

Yeah I agree with you. I think Katie is being set up for a mighty fall though. I dread to think of her appearance on You're Fired

I said in another thread about the same thing that I hope the guests they have on, and the audience that are in the studio are fairly representative of public opinion, and that they don't fill the place with her fans.

She actually needs to see that she's a total bi*ch in how she deals with people, and needs to be treated with the contempt she deserves and not pandered to and made to feel safe.

I totally agree Roxy-Jenna, it looked as if the "fight" had been beaten out of him. Which is a shame because I do believe that he was one of the few people on their who genuinely wants to be the Apprentice.

lol.. all you people fancying adam! give us ugly guys a chance!

I did like adam (in a straight way!!), he was very nice. I think the fact he was young meant he made a lot of mistakes in the challenges, but he'll probably get a lot more out of the experience. I would like to see him maybe present some of those daytime bbc1 shows! anybody else agree??

I really found the anti-northern thing very offensive. People like simon and katie especially will be very ashamed when they're fired. who will want to work with katie now??

They haven't - "Breakfast" obviously doesn't have as big a make-up budget.

I agree with the OP, he seemed really nice and I saw a humour that wasn't displayed on the actual program.

Katie has got Ghazel on her side now, her army is building up...grr fire Katie.

Interestingly the word that is being used a lot on this thread about Adam is 'nice'. He was definitely one of the nicer personalities in the series but unfortunately that alone doesn't make you a success in business.

Indeed no. I like Kristina, she's not 'nice' but she's good and doesn't have to resort to Katie style panto bulls*it. Adam maybe should have been like that but he might not have it in him to be so ruthless.

I thought that Adam came across very well last night, he really is a nice guy and it was nice to see him smile.

I hope he does well in the future.

I thought he came across well on the You're Fired programme. He did seem like a genuinely nice person, and I don't think his business skills are as non-existant as people in the house seemed to think.

Perhaps it wouldn't have made a difference (as his firing seemed to be primarily based on his multitude of boardroom appearances), but Adam really should have found another way to justify taking Katie into the boardroom - if he'd started by saying that she had a personal vendetta against him and he wasn't sure if she was trying to win the task for the team or trying to make herself look good while undermining him, I think Sir Alan may have listened to him.

Yeah , I agree , but he just had no clue what to do and ended up lying (or mixed up , as he said) so there was no option left for SAS.

mainly down to snobbery is my guess...and also peer pressure. Natalie commented after she left the show that she really liked Adam in the house, and that she confided in him more than anyone. Sometimes once one or two people in that environment turn on someone, others will follow...it's the Lord of the Flies mentality...

I think it was because Katie thought Adam was a threat, she obviously didn't like him and wanted to get rid of him at all costs. She saw that he could be a bit dour and expanded on it by painting a picture of incompetence and slowness to influence the others - she has after all been most vocal in her dislike of Adam.
