hi all,
just a quick one i hope. i have just received my plasma HD ready TV. virgin media send me two leads, one is the HDMIi lead which is currently connecting the V+ set top box to the plasma TV and they have also send me a lead, which is very much like a scart lead.do i connected that as well or not. i have try it with it in and out and there seem to be no real different to the picture and sound.i did ring the tech at virgin, but i got the feeling he was not to sure in his answer (he told me to connected both in).
many thanks ahead

Assuming you are changing your TV's inpput to either HDMI or AV? which ever your scart is plugged into then your sort of right, when viewing Std Def there will be no difference in quality especially if your Scart is RGB. Its only when viewing a High Def program that you will notice the difference & also only be able to watch it in HD using the HDMI cable.

Sorry Im assuming your V+ box & subscription includes HD channels. A little more info on that would help

many thanks for your reply. virgin media has only one channel which is bbc hdtv. all the other channels are analogue i think.
