Housemate that left me cold - Alex. Can not see anything in the slightest bit attractive about him. He's like a wet weekend but less interesting.

Tough one.....All the lasses have been so unapealing that I'd almost think the producers have intentionally bought in odd ones................

Let me think....Mel we clearly good looking, Liz was alright until she opened her mouth and did nothing and Adelle was the least ugly one of BB3...........Oh - Whatsername who replaced Nick in BB1 was quite easy on the eye.

Alex by a mile for the boys. he's really beautiful. And, judging from the uncut video of BB1 & 2 which I bought recently, I would say Mel for the girls - although Sophie would give her a run for her money.

Quite a few attractive girls - Sada, Mel, Amma, Adele, Sophie, Sunita, Kate - but none I would call really beautiful (but who am I to judge?).

I posted my opinion on a thread asking me who I thought was the most attractive housemate.

In my opinion, Alex is not attractive. He isnt my type. I dont think he is eye candy. Why is that a wind up?

As I learnt, very painfully, you aren't allowed to criticise Alex! Alex's Angels as we so fondly know them, are a great bunch. They just take exception to someone they dont know criticising him. It gets better -honestly
Stick around, after all BB4 starts soon, and they'll be others to tear up! And you can get away with very small criticisms of the golden one, if you introduce them slowly. Be prepared to be allocated a "minder" though, who'll monitor your words.

And it DOES become fun. Really!

Alex, when he put a bit of weight on his face towards the end and his hair was a bit longer e.g during his speech.
Kate, when she has blonde hair and natural make-up.
Spencer, when he has had a wash. The photo of him on his site with Sasha is gorgeous.

Alex & Sophie were the best looking, I thought. Sada was pretty.
Mel too. And Anna was sort of unconventionally pretty.

Of course you are allowed to express an opinion - even one that is critical of Alex. There are many Alex supporters here, so you can expect people to defend him if you criticize him, but that doesn't mean you aren't allowed to criticize (as long as you are not abusive). I'm sure Pedantic was just being facetious. If you stay, you will soon get used to different FMs' style and sense of humour, and will be able to judge whether or not offence is intended. (Usually it isn't.)

Tbh, no I wouldnt expect someone to defend Alex just because I didnt find him attractive. Not finding someone attractive is not a critisism, its my opinion. If I had slagged him off that would be totally different but I didnt. I just respect that everyone has a different opinion and would never accuse someone of being on a wind-up just because they have different taste to me.

Yes, Charleah, there's been a bit of winding up on here over recent weeks to do with Alex/Jonny/Kate etc and I'm sure Pedantic didn't mean to upset you, she may have genuinely thought you were being tongue in cheek. You have been caught in the cross-fire, so to speak, please don't be offended. It's good to have your honest view on Alex anyway.

When I said that people were likely to defend Alex in the face of criticism, I was not particularly referring to your post about not finding him attractive. Beauty is in the eye of the beholder, after all. I made that comment more in response to Tally's remark that you are not allowed to criticize Alex here. I don't think Tally was being wholly serious when she said that either. You will find that bothTally and Achtung (along with some others) regularly criticize Alex here.

Don't leave charleah we need as many unbiased people here as is possible, and I for one like reading your views.
As Im sure most here do. There is no reason why not.
I also like your voice - for some reason I can 'hear' it when I read your posts; see! there are worse things in this forum than Alex Angels!! - Some of us are absolute nutters, and I do speak for myself!!

Also from a non lust point of view, I must agree, Jade's kind of woman towards a man I like - she came across as seeing a man as a person first, before anything else; She there learnt to be more circumspect I feel, due to her experience with PJ in the infamous morning after episode.
And in my eyes she is definitely a beautifull woman - the conventional sort leave me cold anyway.

As you can probably see by the fact I've chosen the likes of Spencer and Dean then Alex is never gonna be my type anyway.

My personal taste in men tends to be well-built, tall, dark with very short hair. David James is my idea of sex on legs

Girls - prettiest has to be Mel from BB1, Claire was quite pretty in a Dawn French sort of way, Lizzie was OK. Sophie was the best of the BB3 bunch but she seemed to look a lot better after she left the house. I think her dullness obscured her looks during the show.

I think this might upset my dear friend Tally but I see a bit of a correlation between BB and tennis. Pretty girls don't play tennis, do they ? They have lives to live when they are teenagers

Similarly pretty girl wannabees can probably find an easier route than BB. That's for the desperate !!


Boys - Got to be Alex as the most handsome. Brian was good looking in a "pretty-boy" way. Can't see why some of you girls think that Spencer was good looking

Aww come on lulu- I've mellowed. I even made a positive comment regaring Alex last night. He was the only redeeming part of "Boys and Girls".
Doesn't mean I'll carry on praising him though.... I'll go on unbiased opinions as I dont find him in the slightest bit attractive, so at least you know I'm only discusing his talents re presenting
