The "warm nature" is a clear lie...we saw exactly what she was like when she was on TV 24 hours a day for 9 weeks....there has been a reinvention of her personality based on appearences in HEAT.....so you summed her up quite accurately.......

I've never felt attacked on here, ever. (Touch wood ) Those who do feel that way, well maybe they haven't stayed long enough to get to know the characters on here, or maybe they've waded straight in with both feet without allowing those on here already to get to know them and their personalities because, no doubt about it, (even though it's just in type) personalities and characteristics do come across. Or maybe they've just been plain nasty and gone all out to upset people and have deserved the treatment they got (a few banned members spring to mind).

I joined last July and as the first forum I have read or participated in, I have been surprised that although the internet, personalities and characteristics do indeed come across.

It has not happened for some time but I have seen people who shall remain nameless (MN?)come on here as 'strangers' with all guns blazing who are then surprised that they are 'attacked'.
In this situation I will defend Alex 'blindly' as I like him as a person from what I know of him, although I recognise myself that he has faults and is by no means perfect.
In this respect a forum does indeed mirror real life as in a social situation I would also blindly defend a friend against a 'stranger'.
When a person becomes known to you, you will accept anything they say more easily and welcome their opposite views as debate.
In the same respect when you are joining a group in real life you will tread carefully and sound out the personalities of those already present, not jump in at the deep end and start shouting your mouth off.

We have also seen this taken to extreme when the new member known to no-one who has gone all out for it will then quickly start the cries of 'gang attack', 'I heard it was like this on here', me me me, poor me - which ridiculousness has just annoyed me further.

In my experience so far most views are tolerated on here in the spirit of good intelligent debate, so long as they are not personally abusive towards another FM or abusive and upsetting towards a HM should they ever read it.

I have used the internet for many years for email, hotels, flights, general info etc.
As I said before though, this is the first forum I have read/participated in, I have since read others but found most committed offences in the previous paragraph without reproach so have not taken part.
It truly has surprised me how much it mirrors real life in a social situation in that you choose your 'drinking partners' and those that feel ostracised or are so from their social behaviour will choose another 'group' or have this decision made for them by behaving 'antisocially' and being banned.

Well hello there Charleah. May I be the 600th person to welcome you to the nuthouse!

Of course I was being facetious and tongue in cheek. No offence was meant at all. There are a lot of clever, witty, wind-up merchants and stirrers on the forum who like to 'get at' the Alex supporters. The Alex supporters respond in kind. It's all meant in good fun.

It's not always easy to differentiate between 'friend' or foe', but that's all part of the enoyment. There are fms who say negative things just to get a reaction from others. Sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn't.

Bear in mind this is the 'silly' season. There are a number of fms who are sharpening up their 'wittisms' in readiness for BB4. Once it starts, I expect it will get pretty hot in here!

So please do not be upset, of course you can express your opinion. I've even tried to do so myself a few times and always get jumped on from a great height. My skin is getting thicker by the minute.



PS. Maybe I just ought to warn you about a few of the fms here .
