Teletext Extra - new firmware?
clammer
11-05-2007
Having seen that some of the non PVR Thomson/Grundig boxes have recently had a firmware release to use the forthcoming Teletext Extra, I was wondering if anyone knows if there is a planned upgrade for the DHD4000.

I'm particularly interested as I presume that even if there's not an upgrade for teletext plus, that it might need one to make it up to the "freeview playback" standard and allow Series Links etc.

I know that it appears they've pretty much given up on the DHD4000, but thought I'd ask in case anyone knows for definite one way or another.

Many thanks,

clammer

I should think, from previous upgrades, that no-one on here will have any prior knowledge.

I asked Thomson and got pointed at their UK support team who said they have no knowledge of it, but that in fact they would only generally find out about it a week or so before. They certainly haven't been told that there won't be.
